Tony Worsley and the Mighty Guys @ Coolangatta Sands Hotel

Sunday Afternoon June 8th I went to see Tony Worsley and the Mighty Guys at the Coolangatta Sands Hotel which it was the first time I have ever seen an show there although I did visit there on Sunday June 7th 2009 where I saw Mike Lawler and met Phil Eizenberg and Mick Hamilton. the show was supposed to start at 4.30pm but there was an problem with the sound and eventually started at 5pm which the Mighty guys did an few songs and Tony Worsley did his stuff which he was great and FANTASTIC as always and the people that were dancing enjoying themselves inlcuding me. i had to leave around 5.40pm as I was seeing the Wickety Wak guys doing Dooley ROcks Cooley at Twin Towns as the show was to start at 7.30pm but I enjoyed it any way and look forward to see these guys again next year. i again saw my friend Pauline and said hello to Phil Eizenberg before the show started set list- The Mighty Guys Rock ABout My baby The shape I'm In CAdillac the right stream I fought the Law MArie Tony W

Sunday Swing at the MArquee(Swing City)

I went back to the MArquee in Coolangatta later Sunday morning June 10th to see Sunday Swing which had an great line up including The Mighty Guys,Tony Worsley, Frankie J Holden and Wilbur Wilde, Lucky Starr and Roland Storm. The show started after 11am with the Mighty Guys doing an few songs then Tony Worsley came on stage doing his stuff and there was an break which I had beef straganoff for lunch as well as Si Cranston doing 3 songs and getting 2 photos with Mike Lawler. THe mighty Guys did 1 more song and Tony Worsley doing an few more songs and also there was another break. Frankie J Holden and Wilbur Wilde came on which they did an FANTASTIC set of rock songs and there was another break which i had an drink of water. Lucky starr and Roland Storm came on stage which they did an FANTASTIC set of great rock songs including Lucky's I've Been Everywhere and Roland's Rolling With the Flow and got autograph and photos with Lucky Starr and Roland Storm. Breakfast With the Stars 2012 @ the MArquee Coolangatta

On Sunday Morning June 10th I went to the Breakfast with the stars which was my 8th time going there as i went to 3 of them last year during the first Cooly ROcks On that were @ the Coolangatta Surf Club. It was only annouced an week before Cooly ROcks On started as I asked early in the year on the Facebook page was it going to happend again but they said no and I then saw the annoucement on the Cooly ROcks On Page on facebook which was amazing and the people were Frankie J Holden Wilbur Wilde, Si Cranston and Glenn A Baker which Lucky Starr was supposed to come but did'nt. it was wet on that Sunday but did'nt stop me from going and saw my friends Vivian and Bob as well some of the people I met on the bus going to the golf club the night before and my facebook friend Sheila. the breakfast started around 8.20am which i had Bacon,TOmato and scarmbled eggs for breakfast and then Frankie J Holden, Wilbur Wilde, Si Cranston and Glenn A Baker coming on stage telling stories about th

On Saturday Night June 9th I went to the Coolangatta Tweed Golf Club to see both Frankie J holden and Wilbur Wilde which it was my 3rd time seeing them as my first was at the Brisbane ENtertainment centre for the COuntdown Spectacular on Saturday September 16th 2006 and 2nd was at the Convention Centre for the Grease musical which also had Glenn Shorrock and Michelle Pettigrove(Frankie J's WIfe) on Saturday August 16th 2008 with my friend Matthew Stewart. the show started @ 8pm with Glenn A Baker doing the compering and the back up band on The Prowl with Mick Hamilton on Guitar doing the instrumental Nutrocker and Tony Worsley came on stage he did an great set as always including doing his 1965 hit Velvet Waters and in the interval I saw kathy Stephens an lady who i use to work with which she is well and talking about what's happening and had an coke zero and an packet of chips. Cool Change @ Pure Gold Stage

On Saturday afternoon June 9th I went to the Pure Gold Stage for the 2nd time that afternoon to see Brisbane group Cool Change who does the old rock'n'roll stuff of the 50's and 60's and play in the clubs around South East Queensland. the show started at about 3pm which they did an great set songs of Elvis, Chuck berry, Neil Sedaka,Del Shannon, Roy Orbison and others and everyone was having an great time including me and they were just FANTASTIC. They had an break at about 3.50pm and then I decided to go back to Bella Mare as I was going to go to see the on The Prowl show with Frankie J Holden and Wilbur Wilde in a few hours. The Chevrolets @ Pure Gold Stage

On Saturday June 9th I went to the Pure Gold Stage on Marine Parade in Coolangatta to see the Chevrolets whom I had not seen since Sunday November 6th last year at the Rock'n'Roll Spectacular @ Kedron Wavell and had seen Bernie Hutton the night before at the Johnny O'Keefe Celebration Concert @ the Coolangatta Tweed Golf Club. the show started @ 11am with the Chevrolets coming on stage wearing diffrent colour suits and did 2 FANTASTIC sets doing the british invasion stuff by the beatles, the Hollies, the Searchers, Gerry and the PAcemakers, the Dave Clark Five, Spencer Davis Group and others and in the second set the guys wore the matching grey suits and when they took their suits off the the British waistcoats but Rick had the American waistcoat which was funny as well as the audience getting the Cruise hats as rock'n'roll cruises are happening later in the year. the show finished around 12.50pm which after the show they had Cd's and an DVD and I bought the DVD

Johnny O'keefe Celebration Concert @ Coolangatta Tweed Golf Club

On Friday Night June 8th 2012 I went to the Coolangatta Tweed Golf Club to see the Johnny O'Keefe Celebration COncert as it was my 5th time seeing the show as it had been at Twin Towns and in 2009 was at Seagulls but this year it was at Coolangatta Tweed Golf Club and also for the last 8 years it had been on Thursday nights but this year it was FRiday night. This year's show had an great line up with Roland Storm, Sharon Rowntree, Tony Worsley and Frankie J holden and the compere was legendary Australian music historian and manager for Ol'55 Glenn A Baker. The show started at 8pm with Glenn A Baker coming on stage to introduced the acts as well as saying an few words about Johnny O"keefe and the impact he made and Roland Storm was the first act on stage which he did an set of rock songs and ballads including his 1992 hit Rolling WIth the Flow, Sharon ROwntree came on stage next which did an set of songs by Dusty Springfield,Connie Francis,the Crystals and Linda ROnst

Cooly ROcks On 2012-Corn Liquor show @ Coolangatta Hotell

On Friday afternoon June 8th I went to the Coolangatta Hotel to see Corn Liquor the rockabilly group from brisbane. It was my 3rd time seeing an show at the Coolangatta Hotel as my first was on Thursday June 4th 2009 which had The Gamble Sisters including Emma Lousie wilkins who now plays with the Sugarshakers and Adam Hall and the Velvet Playboys and the 2nd was on Sunday June 13th 2010 which had Wanda Jackson and it was my 4th time seeing Corn Liquor as well as my 2nd time this year as I saw them back on Sunday April 29th @ morningside services club as an support act for the Chop Tops with The Ten Fours. The show @ Coolangatta Hotel started after 1 pm with the band doing 2 sets and Mitch was playing with them that day which i saw him before the show as I was looking for an place to have lunch who told me that corn Liquor were playing and also for the next 2 hours did sets or original songs and covers including AC/DC,Creedence clearwater revival, Johnny Cash and others. On Friday June 8th 2012 I went to the Cash Converters to see Denis Cuthel and Jono Nicholson perfrom as It was my first time to see Denis perform as I have seen him outside cash converters in the few years during Wintersun as well as last year's Cooly and back in the 60's did an stint with Billy thorpe and the Aztecs as an drummer but is now an guitarist. I had not heard of Jono Nicholson until Cooly and had seen him play outisde Cash converters with Denis throughout the week there. He's an 19 year old singer who performed at Tamworth Country festival in Tamworth NSW. On that Friday Morning I went to see Jon and Denis @ 11.50am which I only stayed for about 30 minutes and did an FANTASTIC doing classic rock'n'roll songs and everyone having an great time as people buying CD's.I left @ 12.20pm as I had to have lunch as I was going to see Corn Liquor at the Coolangatta Hotel @ 1pm. Cooly Rokcs On 2012-Catfish and the Dee JAys show @ Dolphin Hotel

On Thursday June 7th I went to my second show for Cooly Rocks On which was Catfish and the Dee Jays at the Dolphin Hotel which it was my first going there and it was my 4th time seeing catfish and the dee jays. the show started at 8pm which for the next 3 hours the band did 3 sets of classic rock'n'roll stuff as well as some country stuff from acts like ELvis, Buddy Holly, The Beatles, Eddie Cochran,Cliff Richard, Chuck Berry,Dion Di Mucci, Bill haley and Johnny O'keefe and during the show Catfish would suggest to the crowd to make an noise being Cooly ROcks On as well as annoucing that they would play at the Johnny O'Keefe Statue near Twin Towns on Sunday June 10th at 2.45pm. The show finished @ 11.00pm with the band doing Shout/She's mY Baby as Catfish played with Johnny O'keefe and the dee Jays back in the 50's and early 60's which I said hello to Bob and Brian and thanking them as well and saw Catfish which I got an photo with him and also I met J
