The group with original founding member Pee Wee Wilson are still touring after 55 years when they were formed in 1958 but had their first hit in 1959 with Gee and would go onto have successful hits in the 50's and 60's as well as doing appearances on Six O'Clock Rock, Bandstand and other shows which they lasted until 1973 and have been back together since 1979 and still going packing the venues after all these years. In July this year Mike Greer founding member of popular local group Hi Way 1 passed away from Cancer aged 66 and I was shocked and sad as I did'nt know he was sick as well as I had not seen him since New Years Eve 2012 at Carina Leagues Club which I only found out the news of his passing on Matt Morrison's(Matman Promotion) Facebook page. This year Brisbane entertainment lost a member of the iconic Brisbane comedic show band Wickety Wak named Pahnie Jantzen who passed away from cancer on March 28th aged 73. He was with the group from the beginning when they were formed in 1975 and played around Brisbane as well as the Gold Coast which they were to have a big following as they were known for doing parodies of people like Kenny Rogers,Dolly Parton,Kermit The Frog,Elvis Presley and many others. They did appearances on Channel 7 which they had their own TV specials throughout the 80's and also did the Jackie Mac Breakfast Show on Channel 0 (now 10) hosted by Jackie MacDonald as well as other shows too. They also did recording which they had a Top 10 hit in the 80's with Moonlight Marvel which I still remember the film clip and the group would last until 1990 when they broke up but would reunite in 1997 and 2006-09. Here is my look in 2013 in pictures- Happy New Year everyone and hope 2014 will be a great one for all of us. The big highlight for me is definitely my weight loss which I lost 18 kilos throughout the year and I feel great and happy about it which I feel proud to have done it. The downer was of course that I had a problem with my foot which it turned to be tendinitis and I am resting foot at the moment which I will be going to the podiatrist on January 7th 2014 which we will the problem dealt with it which I want to get back to Ten Pin Bowling,Dancing and long walks home.
