Special Deluxe is the second autobiography of legendary Canadian singer-songwriter Neil Young. In this second he talks about his love of cars which through the vehicles he has collected and driven he talks about his love for vintage cars as well as about his childhood growing up in Canada, his family, friends, the musical influences and the rock and roll life including Crosby Stills Nash and Young, Buffalo Springfield, Crazy Horse and his own solo career. It is an AWESOME, BRILLIANT and an SUPERB book with great and interesting stories and it is so enjoyable which I enjoyed reading it and I love the drawings on them of each chapters which looks great. This book is the follow up to the first book Waging Heavy Peace which was released 2 years ago and Neil Young is still going strong as he is still touring and recording as he will be releasing an new album on Monday November 3rd called Storytone. The McClymonts show @ Kedron Wavell

On Saturday October 25th I went to Kedron Wavell to see Australian country singing group The McClymonts which it was my first time seeing them. I caught the bus from Cannon Hill to Chermside and walk to Kedron Wavell. Went to the Cafe where I had Nachos for dinner as well as having an Sundae for desert, bought my ticket to see the Searchers on February 22nd next year, went inside the Blue Pacific Room, drank water and spoke with Helen and Kathleen. The show started after 8pm with the support act Jared Porter came on stage which he did an excellent set as he did his own songs, after his set came out which he had CD's, shirts and caps on sale, got an autograph and an photo and had an Coke Zero to drink. Then the McClymonts came on stage and for nearly an hour and an half they performed tracks from the new album Here to You and I as well as tracks from their other albums Chaos and Bright Lights, Wrapped Up Good and Two Worlds Collide as well as doing the Eagles song Heartache Tonight

In this 3 CD set it has many of the classic Hollies' hits of the 60's and 70's as well as the 80's including their version of the Supremes 1965 hit Stop In the Name Of the Love which the Hollies had a hit with it in 1983 in the USA as well as album tracks, live recordings and an new song called Skylarks written by drummer Bobby Elliot, current lead singer Pete Howarth and Steve Lee Vickers. In this book he talks about his upbringing in Hopedale Massachusetts, starting get into music at an early age, playing in groups Just Us, Chimes Of Freedom,Flash and the jam Band, forming Aerosmith, having success, his 2 marriages, the problems with drugs and booze, leaving Aerosmith in 1979 which he would rejoin them in 1984 and many others. The Avengers @ Easts Leagues club

Last Friday October 17th I went to Easts Leagues Club to see Brisbane group the Avengers which it's my 3rd time this year and 21st time altogether. Dad dropped me off at the club which I had nachos for dinner drank Coke Zero and said hello to Graeme, Mick, Roger and Paul. The show started @ 7.30pm and for the next 4 hours the group did 4 sets of classic rock and pop songs by acts like The Beatles, Elvis Presley, The Eagles, Creedence Clearwater Revival, Cliff Richard, Roy Orbison, Rod Stewart, Buddy Holly and many others and there were some people who made request for some of the songs and also in the break before the last set I sat with some of the members in their area which had Roger and Paul's wives both named Laura which i had a conversation with them as well as Garth who told me how he joined the Avengers as well as Roger as well as an guy named Frank playing drums on 2 songs. Bandstand Live In Australia Dusty Springfield

Legendary Australian music show Bandstand is back on DVD which the international performer appearing on it is British singer Dusty Springfield. The Dusty Springfield episode on Bandstand was shown on October 21st 1967 and on it she performs many of her big hits of that time including I Only Want To Be With You, Little By Little, Wishing and Hoping etc as well as being interviewed by host Brian Henderson and the other performers appearing on the episode were Freddie Paris and John Sangster. It is AWESOME, BRILLIANT and SUPERB as well as very enjoyable and very entertaining and the picture quality looks very good indeed. It is great to see this iconic Australian music show on DVD which they will be more coming out on November 5th with both Volume 8 (1966) and Volume 9(1967-68) and let's hope for more in the future if the DVD's that are out is as successful this year as it was last year which I'm sure it will so let's keep supporting it. Dancing With Myself is the autobiography of English singer Billy idol. In this book he talks about his childhood in America as he was born in England, went back to England in the 60's where he grew up, playing in bands like Chelsea and Generation X, having solo career with hits like White Wedding, Hot In the City, Rebel Yell as well as the drugs and alcohol and many others. It is an AWESOME, BRILLIANT and an SUPERB book with great stories which it's very entertaining and very enjoyable indeed which it is well worth reading. Billy Idol is still going strong after more than 35 years in the music business which he is still touring and recording as he has an new album out at the moment called Kings and Queens Underground as well as doing an Australian and New Zealand tour next year. This book is an must for any Billy Idol fans which it's in the shops now so do yourself a favour and BUY IT which I'm sure you will enjoy the book.

Live in London is the live double CD by legendary Australian singer and lead singer of the legendary Australian group the Seekers Judith Durham. This live double CD was recorded on July 3rd 2003(Judith Durham's 60th Birthday) at the Royal Festival Hall as it was towards the end of Judith Durham's UK sold out 35 date solo tour and on it she performs her solo songs as well as some of the classic Seekers songs as well as her jazz and gospel roots as well as doing the standards. It is BRILLIANT and SUPERB with great songs and Judith sounds so BRILLIANTLY on the recording with that great voice and very entertaining and enjoyable to listen to. 50 St Catherine's Drive is the last solo album by Bee Gee member Robin Gibb. The name of the album is from Robin's birth place in the Isle Of Man and this album was recorded between 2006 and 2008 but were never released which these songs are autobiographical as among the tracks is a new version of I Am The World which the Bee Gees recorded in 1966 as it was the b-side of Spicks and Specks as well as an demo of a song called Sydney which was the very last song he ever recorded that was in 2011 as it was intended to be a song that he was going to record with brother Barry for a new album he had hoped to record but sadly never to happened. It is an BEAUTIFUL, SUPERB and an BRILLIANT album and the songs sounds so beautiful to listen to. Last Saturday October 4th I went to Twin Towns to see the legendary American country duo the Bellamy Brothers which it was my first time seeing them. Dad took me and Mum to Twin Towns as we had dinner at the Coolangatta Tweed Golf Club and when I arrived at Twin Towns I went up to the 5th floor which I bought Amber Lawrence's CD and an DVD which I then went inside the room. The show started @ 8.30pm with support act Australian country singer Amber Lawrence coming on stage doing a few of her songs as well as an excellent version of Patsy Cline's Walking After Midnight and she sounded great as well as doing an great set and after finishing her set she came out to sign her CD and DVD's which I got the CD as well as getting an photo with her. R-Kive is the new box CD set by legendary British rock group Genesis. In this 3 CD boxed set it has many of the Genesis classic songs from the 70's, 80's and 90's and it also has the solo stuff by Phil Collins, Peter Gabriel, Steve Hackett, Tony Banks and Mike Rutherford with Mike and the Mechanics as well. It is am AWESOME,BRILLIANT and an SUPERB Box Set with great songs and it holds up very well to this day which still sounds great as well as many of those songs still gets played on the radio. Craig McLean did the liner notes and the cover on the album looks really great and also the 5 members just got together for a documentary about the group called Together and Apart for the BBC. It's being 47 years when Genesis was formed and they have not performed together since 2007 and also this 3 CD set is a must for any Genesis fan so I give this 5 stars which it's in the shops now so do yourself a favour and BUY IT.

Lullaby and the Ceaseless Roar is the new album by legendary British singer Robert Plant. This album was recorded at Helium Studios in Wiltshire, Real World Studios near Bath and Contino Room in London and he was backed up by the Sensational Space Shifters but their name is not on the front cover. It is an BRILLIANT and an SUPERB album with BRILLIANT songs and BRILLIANT singing by Robert Plant who still sounds great at age 66 and he produced the album himself with Tchad Blake doing the mixing, Tim Oliver doing the recording and mixing, Tim Holmes doing the mixing, Bob Ludwig did the mastering and Brett Kilroe and Geoffrey Hanson did the art direction. Bittersweet is the new album by Australian country singer Kasey Chambers. This album was recorded @ Studio 301 in Byron Bay NSW with Nick DiDia as producer who also did the mixing with Sean Astill as assistant and Steve Smart doing the mastering and also collaborated with acts like Bernard Fanning(Powderfinger) and Dan Kelly an Australian singer-songwriter. It is an EXCELLENT and an FANTASTIC album with top singing by Kasey and the songs are just FANTASTIC which it has a range of styles and moods which the lyrics are very interesting and excellent. This album has done very well which it peaked at number 2 in the Australian charts and is still in the top 40 at the moment. This is an must for any Kasey Chambers fans as well as Australian country music fans and I am giving this 4 stars which it's in the shops now so do yourself a favour and BUY IT.

Nat King Cole the Extraordinary is the compilation of American singer Nat King Cole which I am reviewing the double CD version. In this double CD it has many of the well known Nat King Cole's hits like Unforgettable, Mona Lisa, Walkin' My Baby Back Home, Orange Colored Sky, L-O-V-E, Route 66 as well as 2 songs with Dean Martin as well as some unreleased songs including 2 with his daughters Carole and Natalie who will would become an successful singer in her own right as well as alternate versions of some of the songs. It is BRILLIANT and SUPERB with great songs which holds up so very well to this day and it is so BRILLIANTLY very well put together which this compilation was produced by Alex Luke and Frank Collura. It will be 50 years on February 15th next year since Nat King Cole passed away from lung cancer but at least the great music he made still lives on which it has timeless appeal.
