Citizen John by the Black Sorrows

This is the new album by legendary Australian rock group the Black Sorrows which it was recorded mixed and mastered at Woodstock Studios in Melbourne. The songs on this album are written by Joe Camilleri and Nick Smith and there is an cover of an Bob Dylan song called Silvio and among the other musicians who played on the album including Kerryn Tolhurst from the legendary Australian bands the Dingoes and Wilbur Wilde from OL'55 and Jo Jo Zep and the Falcons which Joe Camilleri was an member of in the 70's and 80's. It's an FANTASTIC and BRILLIANT album with great and FANTASTIC songs which has different styles on each of them which they sound so great as they sound as great as anything they've done before with great singing by Joe Camilleri who is still sounding great at age 70 turning 71 on May 21st and he produced this album as well as Richard stolz doing the engineering. Joe is currently touring with the Black Sorrows as well as doing the Apia Good Times tour

This is the new compilation CD by legendary American singer-songwriter and Fleetwood Mac member Stevie Nicks and it has her successful solo hits in the 80's and 90's including the duets with Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers and Eagles member Don Henley as well as 2 live tracks of Fleetwood Mac songs as well as well as tracks from 2001,2011 and 2014. It's AWESOME, BRILLIANT and SUPERB with FANTASTIC and Great songs which has stood the test of time and they are just as good today as it has for more than 35 years which they are timeless classics and you will never get tired of them. Stevie is currently on tour with Fleetwood Mac at the moment which includes Neil Finn as they will be in Australia in August and on Friday got inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall Of Fame for her solo work which makes the first woman to be inducted twice which she truly deserves it. This an must for fans of Stevie Nicks as well as Fleetwood Mac which I give it 5 stars as it's in the shops now

Sings Little River Band by Glenn Shorrock

This is the new album by legendary Australian singer-songwriter Glenn Shorrock and this was recorded at the Engine Room and Rancom St Studio with Noiseworks member Steve Balbi as well as among the musicians who played on this album Jak Housden from The Badloves and drummer Pete Drummond who plays with Dragon and also recorded 10 of the classic Little River Band songs. It's an FANTASTIC album with great singing by Glenn Shorrock who is still singing great at 74 turning 75 on June 30th and also the songs are just great as well as doing them differently to the original records from the 70's and 80's. Glenn is currently performing at the moment and he'll be doing some shows with Brian Cadd throughout the year as well as the Bob Dylan Revisited show as well as the Let It be tour with Jack Jones, John Paul Young, Russell Morris and Doug Parkinson. This is an must for Little River Band fans as well as Glenn Shorrock fans and I am giving this 4 stars as it's in the shops

On Friday night I went to the Balmoral Cinema to see the movie Fighting With My Family. It's Norwich England and an family named Knight an wrestlers with parents Patrick "Rowdy Ricky" (Nick Frost) and Julia "Sweet Saraya" (Lena Headey) and their children Saraya "Paige" (Florence Pugh) and Zac "Zodiac" (Jack Lowden) are training up and coming wrestlers while working out on their career and tryout for the WWE for Hutch Morgan (Vince Vaughn) which Paige gets it and Zac doesn't even though she tries to get him in it but fails. Paige goes over to America with her brother's encouragement as he continues to do wrestling helping his parents as well as his girlfriend and newborn son. This is the book written by Victoria Riskin daughter of actress Fay Wray and Hollywood Screenwriter Robert Riskin and in this book she talks about her parents upbringings in Utah and New York, their starts in the entertainment business, her father winning the Oscar for It Happened One Night for Best Writing as well as working with Frank Capra doing films like Mr Deeds Goes To Town, Meet Joe Doe, Lost Horizon etc, her mother doing the silent films as well as the talkies including King Kong as well as working with people like Spencer Tracy, Clark Gable, William Powell, Gary Cooper among others, Fay's first marriage which she had an daughter Susan, her parents' marriage in 1942 which they had 2 children as it lasted until his passing in 1955 and many others. On Saturday I went to the Balmoral Cinema to see the movie Hotel Mumbai. It's 2008 in Mumbai India and 10 members of an Islamic terrorist organisation based in Pakistan attacks Mumbai which one of the places is The Taj Mahal Hotel and among the staff and guest at the hotel are new parents David(Armie Hammer) and Zahara(Nazanin Bonadi), Vasili an Russian businessman (Jason Issacs) and Arjun (Dev Patel) an newly promoted waiter putting themselves on the line to escape with their lives as well as seeing people getting killed and it gets interesting. The Beach Boyz @ Easts Leagues Club

Last Saturday I went to the Easts Leagues Club to see the Beach Boys tribute show The Beach Boyz which the members are also from the band the Retronomes who play around Brisbane. Dad took me to Easts Leagues Club, tried to find an table but couldn't, walked to the Stones Corner Hotel, Had Nachos for dinner, drank Coke Zero and walk back to Easts Leagues Club. Saw Sarah from 4F at work, use mobile and did writing. The Show started @ 8pm with the group coming out on stage which they did 2 sets doing the classic Beach Boys songs as well as bit of Jan and Dean which the first set which they wore the striped shirts that the group wore in the 60's and floral shirt and jeans in the second set and also saw Richard who I know at the gigs with his wife who spoke to me about Paul from the Avengers passing away as Graeme Rabnott wanted me to know about it but I had known through email as well as Sue and her husband, Lorraine & Graeme and Fay and also everyone was enjoying themselves

Last Friday night I went to Twin Towns to see legendary American singer Belinda Carlisle and Australian group from the 80's 1927 which it was my 3rd time seeing Belinda as I last saw her @ Kedron Wavell Friday March 9th 2012 and 2nd time seeing 1927 as I saw @ Kedron Wavell Thursday March 18th 2015. I walked to Twin Towns, had dinner there where I had Lamb Fillet, chips and Salad, went up to the 5th floor, ate chocolate bar, went to the Showroom and Jane from work. The show started @ 8pm with 1927 with original member Eric Weideman coming on stage which they did an short set doing their songs including the classic hits If I Could and That's When I Think Of You and there was an interval which I met someone next to me. A Dog's Way Home

Yesterday afternoon I went to the South Bank Cinema to see the movie A Dog's Way Home. Bella (voiced by Dallas Bryce Howard) an dog who has been found by Lucas(Jonah Hauer King) and his girlfriend Olivia (Alexandra Shipp)in an construction site with kittens and an mother cat and the dog lives with Lucas' mother Terri(Ashley Judd) and Lucas. There is issues with the man who wanted the old house to be knocked down but delays it and Bella gets captured which Lucas pays the fine and goes home but is warned that she is captured again she will be put down. So avoid this she is taken to New Mexico to be with Lucas' friends but is missing Lucas so she starts to walk home which gets interesting. It's excellent, heart warming, very entertaining and very funny with Top and excellent acting by Ashley Judd, Jonah Hauer King, Bryce Dallas Howard and Alexandra Shipp and also great family entertainment.
