This afternoon I went to the Events Cinema Carindale to see the movie Just Mercy. It's 1987 and Walter (Johnny D) McMillian (Jamie Foxx) is arrested for the murder of an 18 year old girl named Ronda Morrison which he is found guilty for the crime and is sentenced to death. Then 2 years later Bryan Stevenson (Michael B Jordan) an Harvard law student comes down to Alabama to defend those who were wrongly convicted as well as those who couldn't afford legal representation so along with Eva Ansley(Brie Larson) an local advocate they put together Equal Justice Initiative and go to the prison where he would meet those who are in prison wrongly convicted including Walter. Bryan starts looking through the records which he is convinced that Walter is innocent as well as meeting Walter's family who believe his innocence and tries to get key witnesses including Ralph Myers (Tim Blake Nelson) as well as fighting to clear Walter and it gets interesting. Tonight I went to the Balmoral Cinema to see the movie A Beautiful Day In The Neighbourhood. Lloyd Vogel (Matthew Rhys) is an magazine journalist for the Esquire is assigned to interview TV personality Fred Rogers (Tom Hanks) and meets Fred on the set of his TV show which he interviews him while Lloyd has issues himself including the relationship with his father Jerry(Chris Cooper) and when his father is ill he starts to change which gets interesting. It's Emotional, touching, Inspirational, Brilliant and Superb with FANTASTIC and BRILLIANT acting by Tom Hanks who is nominated for the Best Supporting Actor at this year's Oscars, Matthew Rhys, Chris Cooper, Christine Lahti and Susan Kelechi Watson. It's directed by Marielle Heller and produced by Youree Henley, Peter Saraf, Leah Holzer and Marc Turtletaub. I give it 5 stars as it's in the cinemas now so do yourselves an favour and SEE IT which you'll be amazed.

Tonight I went to the Balmoral Cinema to see the movie Bombshell. Gretchen Carlson (Nicole Kidman), Megyn Kelly (Charlize Theron) and Kayla Pospisil (Margot Robbie) are working for Fox News which it is run by Roger Ailes (John Lithgow) which he runs it with fear and determination. Megyn is an anchor/commentator who is preparing for the Republican debate but gets sick on the day and questions Donald trump about women but then send tweets about her which hurts her reputation and getting followed by reporters, Gretchen is co anchor on a show called Fox and Friends but then is taken off and gets an worse on a show less popular which she is experiencing sexist comments by others. Kayla who has an religious background starts working with Gretchen and then works for reporter Bill O'Reilly and after she gets fired she gets friendly with an co worker Jess carr (Kate McKinnon) which they sleep together and get drunk and also Ailes makes obscure passes at her which she gets uncomfortable

Have A Cigar by Bryan Morrison

This is the posthumous autobiography of British music mogul Bryan Morrison and in this book he talks about his upbringing in the East End Of London, studied @ St Martin's and the Central School of Art where he studied art and design, working with The Pretty Things, Pink Floyd, T Rex, The Jam, wham as well as his encounter with the Kray Twins, playing polo which led to co founding of Royal County of Berkshire Polo Club and many others. It's FANTASTIC and impressive as well as very entertaining and an enjoyable read and hearing about the experiences he had from music to polo as well as the people he encountered and an great book indeed. this was done in the early 90's but it was longed shelved and then he passed away in 2008 after having an accident doing polo in 2006 which he was in a coma but it is resurrected by his son Jamie. This is a must for music fans and I give it 4 stars as it's in the shops now so do yourselves an favour and BUY IT which you will be impressed

Today I went to Twin Towns to see legendary Australian singers Tony Worsley and Issi Dye along with Melbourne singer Glenn Douglas and it's my first time at an Tuesday for nearly 6 years since Tuesday June 3rd 2014 when I saw Jim Hansen and the Sonics as well as last Issi, Tony and Glenn was 7 months ago @ Cooly Rocks On. Dad took me to Tweed Heads as he, Mum and Heath along with me had stopped @ Southport on the way , went up to the showroom and waited. the show started @ 11am with Gold Coast DJ Jimmy White who is on radio94.1FM did the intro which Issi Dye walking through the audience doing Sing Sing Sing as he shook hands including mine and he performed 3 more Johnny O' Keefe songs as well as when Jimmy came back on stage was telling an story about JOK going to his mother's place in Scarborough, then Melbourne singer Glenn Douglas which he did 4 Roy Orbison songs, then Tony Worsley came on which he did 3 songs including Can't Help Falling In Love the Elvis song a

Australian Buddy Holly Show @ Easts Leagues Club

Tonight I went to the Easts Leagues Club where I saw the Australian Buddy Holly Show which it was my first time since CRO 2018 Sunday June 10th 2018 at Coolangatta Tweed Golf Club although I saw Kris at Greazefest 2018 and 2019. Dad took me to the club from Holland Park which I with Mum, Heath and my niece Ani had Fish, chips and Scallops for dinner, saw Gail and Tina (Kris' partner), ate Caramel Slice, drank Coke Zero and saw Johnny who I know from the gigs. The show started at 8pm with Kris and the band coming on stage which in the first set did an mixture of Buddy Holly classics as well as rock and roll classics by Dion, Elvis Presley and Eddie Cochran which he was wearing the blue suit and there was an interval which I saw Maggie as well as having an Coke Zero to drink as well as looking at the cricket on the TV. The second set started with Kris wearing the white suit coming back on stage doing more Buddy classics as well as other classic rock and roll songs by Chuck Ber

This is the new CD by legendary British singer Rod Stewart and this was recorded at Abbey Road Studios and Angel Studios London with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra which he re-recorded his 70's hit Maggie May as well as It Takes Two which he does with Robbie Williams and an new Song called Stop Loving Her Today as well as using his classic recordings with the orchestra which it works brilliantly. It's FANTASTIC, BRILLIANT and SUPERB with great songs as well the combination between Rod and the Orchestra which as I mentioned works Brilliantly with great singing by Rod on this 3 songs. This went to number 1 in the UK and number 3 in Australia and he will be in Australia later in the year. This is an must for Rod Stewart fans which I give it 5 stars and it's in the shops so do yourselves an favour and BUY IT which you'll love it.

This is the memoir of American musician and singer Morris Day and in the book he talks about his early years in Illinois, his upbringing in Minneapolis Minnesota, started playing an drum age 4, played in an group called Grand Central, his friendship and musical partnership with Prince, having success with the Time which they would have successful hit singles Get Up and Go and Cool as well as having Terry Lewis, Jellybean Johnson and Jimmy jam , his 2 marriages, his issues with drugs and others. It's an FANTASTIC book with impressive, enjoyable and very entertaining stories and an great read indeed and it's co written with David Ritz who wrote Marvin Gaye's book as well as co writing books with BB King, Ray Charles, Smokey Robinson, Aretha Franklin and others. Morris Day still performs with the Time mainly in the USA and this is an must for soul and funk music fans. Tonight I went to the Balmoral Cinema to see the movie 1917. 2 British soldiers Tom Blake (Dean Charles Chapman) and William Schofield (George MacKay) are given an order by General Erinmore (Colin Firth) which is they are given an mission to hand deliver an message to the 2nd Battalion of the Devon Regiment to tell them that to call off the attack on the German forces who have retreated to the Hinderberg Line as they are planning to ambush the battalion of 1600 men which Tom's brother Joseph(Richard Madden) is among them. Both Blake and Schofield go on their mission which they go through the trenches which was booby trapped and Schofield is nearly killed but survives and then they go to an abandoned farmhouse which they see an German plane crashes and Tom is killed when the pilot stabs him and also Schofield continues with the mission which gets interesting. This is the live solo album by Ronnie Wood of the Faces and the Rolling Stones and it's an live tribute album to American rock and roll pioneer Chuck Berry who passed away in 2017. This was recorded at the Tivoli Theatre Wimborne Minster Dorset and Ronnie performs most of the Chuck Berry classics as well as doing an duet with singer Imelda May who is back up singers on the live CD. It's AWESOME, ROCKIN and BRILLIANT with great songs and great playing by Ronnie as well as an great live atmosphere and also great job doing those songs as I already mentioned that Chuck passed away nearly 3 years ago but has left an great legacy of music as well as influence to many musicians including the Rolling Stones. This is an must for Rolling Stones and Chuck Berry fans which I give it 5 stars and it's in the shops now so do yourselves an favour and BUY IT which you'll love it.

On Australia Day (Sunday January 26th) legendary Australian singer Daryl Braithwaite will be performing at the Treasury Casino in the city (Brisbane) which he will be performing in the Live Wire Sports Bar and it will start at 10pm which he will perform his hits from the 80's and 90's as well as the Sherbet stuff like Howzat. It's an free show and if you would like to go do yourselves an favour and SEE HIM which he's great live and still singing better than ever and also I'm sure it will be back memories who grew up in the 70's in the Countdown era with Sherbet as well as the 80's and 90's as well.

Toby Tyler and the Country Boys @ Carina Leagues Club

On New Years Eve I went to the Carina Leagues Club where I saw the local group Toby Tyler and the Country Boys and it was my second time seeing them as I first saw them September 2017. Dad took me to the club, Had Nachos for dinner, drank Coke Zero, ate Mint Choc Slice and did some writing. The Show started at about 8pm which they did 4 sets as they performed songs by Elvis Presley, Buddy Holly, Troy Casser Daley, Johnny Cash, Eddie Cochran, Johnny Horton and hank Williams and they had the fire works at 9pm on the oval which looked great as well as seeing Daphne an lady I've known since about 1988 which she's well and I saw Barry Coker from St Andrews which he is going fine and then at Midnight came the countdown and the Band doing Auld Lang Syne which people wishing each other for the New Year and also I left not long after that which I saw Dad and came home. It was an excellent show which Toby and the band played great and sang great rock and country songs and everyone

The Gentlemen

Tonight I went to the Balmoral Cinema where I saw The Gentlemen. American expatriate Mickey Pearson (Matthew McConaghy) who has been very successful in the marijuana empire and is married to Ros(Michelle Dockery) and when word is getting out that Mickey is looking to cash out of the business it triggers plots and schemes from people including an journalist named Fletcher (Hugh Grant),Matthew (Jeremy Strong), Dry Eye (Henry Golding) as well as people who help him including Raymond (Charlie Hunnam), Coach (Colin Farrell) and others and it gets interesting. It's FANTASTIC, very funny and very entertaining with FANTSTIC acting by Matthew McConaghy, Michelle Dockery, Hugh Grant, Colin Farrell, Charkie Hunnam, Jeremy Strong and Eddie Marsan. It's directed by Guy Ritchie who also produced it with Ivan Atkinson and Bill Black as well as doing screenplay and story too. I give it 4 stars as it's in the cinemas now so do yourselves an favour and SEE IT which you'll be amazed

This afternoon I went to the South bank Cinema where I saw the movie Little Women which it's the 7th film Adaptation of it. Jo March (Saoirse Ronan along with her sisters Meg (Emma Watson), Amy (Florence Pugh) and Beth (Eliza Scanlen)live in Massachusetts which their father is fighting in the Civil War and they have plans to do things in their lives which Jo wants to be a writer, Amy an painter, Meg an actress and Beth playing the piano and then they get friendly with Theodore "Laurie" Lawrence (Timothee Chalamet) who lives with his grandfather Mr Lawrence (Chris Cooper) and tutor John Brooke (James Norton) which then Laurie has an liking for jo while John for Meg. Then their lives change when Marmee (Laura Dern) goes to her husband who is sick, Beth then has scarlet fever, Meg marries John and Amy goes to Europe with Aunt March(Meryl Streep) and then it gets interesting. It's FANTASTIC, BRILLIANT and SUPERB as well as touching with FANTASTIC and BRILLIANT acting
