Crossfire Hurricane The Rolling Stones
Crossfire Hurricane is the documentary about legendary British rock band the Rolling Stones that is out on DVD. In this DVD all the members of the Stones are interviewed and talk about the beginnings as young obsessed blues fans in early 60's England to become the Greatest Rock N Roll Band in the world as well as talking about Andrew Loog Oldham, the bad boy image, Brian Jones as well as Brian's death, the drug busts, Altamont, tax exiles, Mick Taylor joining the group as well as leaving, Ron Wood joins and many others. It's an EXCELLENT and an BRILLIANT with great interviews with the guys which even though it stops in the early 80's it's very impressive too and great footage including stuff from the Ed Sullivan show, Brian Henderson's Bandstand, the TAMI show and many others. There is extra features on this DVD including an interview with director Brett Morgen and the performances of I'm Alright and Satisfaction in germany 1965. Brett Morgen directed this documentary who also wrote this documentary, Mick Jagger and Victoria Pearman, Executive Producers were Keith Richards, Charlie Watts and Ron Wood, Morgan Neville was co director, Bill Wyman was the historian consultant, Phil Davey the film Archvist for the Rolling Stones and the audio archvist for the Rolling Stones was Mick McKenna. It's amazing that the Rolling Stones have survived 50 years of success, drugs, denunciation, death, dissenions to become the definitive survivors of rock and still going strong after all these years. it's taken over an year in the making and with the full co operation and involvement of the band it's an great documentary and well worth watching and it's an must for fans of the Rolling Stones as well as Rock N Roll fans. I am giving this 5 stars and it's in the shops now.
