Classic Albums- Aftermath By the Rolling Stones
This week's classic album segment is I am looking at the 1966 album by legendary British rock band the Rolling Stones. By this time in 1966 the Stones were riding high with successful hits Like It's All Over Now, Little Red Rooster, Time Is On My Side, The Last time, Get Off My Cloud, Satisfaction, 19th nervous Breakdown and others and had successful albums like the Rolling Stones , 12x5, Out of Our Heads and December's Children. The recording for Aftermath began @ RCA studios in Hollywood on December 3rd 1965 which lasted til the 8th and again from March 6th-9th 1966 with manager Andrew Loog Oldham who produced the album and Dave Hassinger did the engineering. the album was released on April 15th 1966 iN England which went to number 1 where it stayed there for 28 weeks and no 2 in the USA when it was released on June 20th where it stayed there for 50 weeks and there were no hits from that album in ENgland but some of the songs were hits for others like Take It Or Leave It...
