It's Never Too Late by Marla Gibbs

This is the memoir of legendary American actress Marla Gibbs and in the book talks about her upbringing in Chicago, the passing of her father as a teenager, living in Detriot, her marriage to Jordan Gibbs which they would have 3 children which in divorce, going to Los Angeles where she worked for United Airlines as well as the Bank of America, started acting in the theatre, did movies including Sweet Jesus Preacherman and Black Belt Jones, achieving great success on TV first as Florence Johnson on the American TV comedy show The Jeffersons from 1975-85 and from 1985-90 227 playing Mary Jenkins which she was also the executive producer, purchased a theatre in Leimert park, her health scare in the 2000's, working with Sherman Hemsley, Isabell Sandford, Regina King, Norman Lear and many others. It's FANTASTIC and BRILLIANT as well as very impressive and very entertaining which it is well worth a read. Marla is still around which very recently was given an Honorary Day by the city of Chicago and recently appeared on the TV show Chicago Med. This is a must for fans of both The Jeffersons and 227 and I give it 4 stars as it's in the shops now so please do yourselves a favour and BUY IT which you will be impressed and amazed.

Peter Flanagan member of legendary Australian singing family group the Fauns aka the The Flanagans passed away on September 2nd aged 73 at the Royal North Shore Hospital in Sydney. Peter along with brother Paul and Sister Margaret began as the Fauns in 1959 as they had been doing classical music training which they released 3 singles on the Leedon label- Dance With Me/Don't Take the Stars, We Should Be Together/While Susan Sleeps and Nursery Rhymes Rock and as the Flanagans they released 4 singles on the HMV label-He/Wonderland Of Love and Dreams(1965), Follow the Wind/Land OF Beyond(1965), You Were Meant FOr Me/That's How Man Began(1966) and This is My Song/For Bobby(1967). the group did appearances on Bandstand,Six O'Clock Rock, Teen Time, The Johnny O'Keefe Show, Sing Sing Sing, the Mike Walsh Show, IMT, Revue 61, Revue 62 and many others as well as performing on the Matt Munro TV special in 1966 as well as performing in the clubs too as well as co writing the song...
