4BH July 1968

This is from the Telegraph July 1st 1968 and now the classic hits station here in Brisbane in 2026 4BH was one of Brisbane's popular radio stations at the time in the late 60's which among their disc jockeys were Geoff Bradley who did Breakfast on Monday to Saturday, Grahame Roberts who was on Monday to Friday from 2pm-6pm and on Sunday Mornings and John Kerr on Monday to Fridays from 6pm until 9pm and was on Saturday and Sunday afternoons playing also the Big Hits from the top 40, Big Hits from yesteryear and Big Hits from Modern Music Albums.

Al Jardine and the Pet Sounds Band at QPAC

Last night I went to QPAC Concert Hall to see Al Jardine who is one of the founding members of the iconic American band the Beach Boys with his own band The Pet Sounds Band which includes his son Matt who sang with the Beach Boys in the 90's and the others musicians in the band played with Brian Wilson for many years and it was my first time to see Al live as I did not see him perform with the Beach Boys in the 90's as well as in 2012 when the surviving members got back together for the album That's Why God Made The Radio and tour including Brisbane but at least I got the opportunity to QPAC which was originally intended for October last year but was rescheduled. I caught the bus to South Bank, went to the Plough Inn where I had Sirloin Pork Chops, chips and Salad for dinner, drank Pepsi Max, went to NZ Natural Ice Cream, ate movie bowl Sundae and walk to QPAC.
