This is from the Telegraph July 23rd 1959 and until 1990 when it became B105 4BK was one of Brisbane's popular radio stations at the time in the late 50's having started in 1930 which among their disc jockeys was Malcolm Searle who would become successful on TV with the 300 pound Question on Channel 7 from 1960-63 as well as working on 3AK was on Monday to Friday at 5pm with Five O'Clock Date, Tuesday with The Uncle Toby Show at 12.40pm, Friday morning at 8.30am with Edgell's Housewives Hit Parade, Saturday morning at 9.30am with Tristram's Young Queenslanders Club and Sunday from 9.15am until 2pm with Disc Jockey Parade.

This is from the Sunday Truth July 22nd 1962 and now the talk back station as it is the only commercial one here in Brisbane 4BC was one of Brisbane's popular radio stations at the time in the early 60's which among their disc jockeys was Geoff Atkinson who had been with the station since 1957 was on Sundays at 9am hosting the Hi Fi Club which was presented by Coca Cola as well as for the Hi Fi Club members there was prizes to win including a trip to the Barrier Reef for 2.

This is from the Telegraph July 21st 1960 and long before known for being the Good Times and Great Classic Hits station as well as for a time in the 80's being a country music station 4KQ was one of Brisbane's popular radio stations at the time in the early 60's which being a music they also did variety as they broadcast shows in the Gold Coast on Friday with the show Gold Coast Coast compered by George Hardman live at the Chevron Skyline Cabaret at 11am, Surfers Paradise Gadabout at 12.45pm, Burleigh Time at 1.15pm and Grand Variety which was recorded at Grand Hotel Southport at 7pm which was compered by Andy Stevens and it was broadcast on Tuesday at 11am.

This is from the Telegraph July 20th 1963 and now the classic hits station in Brisbane in 2026 4BH was one of Brisbane's popular radio stations at the time in the 60's which on Sundays it was Music all day from 5am with their disc jockeys Bill Gates who was the one who gave the Bee Gees their name as well as doing the record hops around Brisbane including the O'Connor Boathouse on North Quay, Ben Beckinsale, Barry Matheson, Brian Henderson who was hosting the Australian music TV show Bandstand and John Laws.

This is from the Telegraph July 19th 1963 and this was the 4BH Top 40 charts with Kyu Sakamoto at number 1 with Sukiyaki, Johnny O'Keefe at number 2 with Move Baby Move, Gerry and the Pacemakers at number 3 with the song written by Mitch Murray which was intended for the Beatles How Do You Do It and Perry Como at number 4 with Don't You Forget It. The new entries in the charts that week were Elvis Presley at number 30 with Devil in Disguise,The Essex at number 34 with Easier Than Done, Gerry and the Pacemakers at number 35 with the song also written by Mitch Murray I Like It and Bobby Bare at number 38 and besides from Johnny O'Keefe the other Australian acts in the charts that week were Rob EG at number 9 with Jezebel and Jay Justin at number 26 with Proud Of You.

This afternoon I went to the Dendy Cinema Coorparoo to see the movie The Invite. Joe(Seth Rogen) who is a music teacher and wife Angela (Olivia Wilde) who have a daughter Maggie which their marriage is on the rocks as well as planning a dinner party to invite neighbours Pina (Penelope Cruz) and Hawk(Edward Norton) over to their apartment and there is tensions between Angela and Joe as well as the neighbours which gets interesting. It is excellent, very funny and very entertaining with excellent acting by Seth Rogen, Olivia Wilde who directed the movie as well, Penelope Cruz and Edward Norton and it is produced by Ben Browning, Megan Ellison and David Permut and the screenplay written by Rashada Jones who is an actress and Will McCormack. It is a feel good movie which it is well worth a laugh and I give it 4 stars as it's in the cinemas now please do yourselves a favour and SEE IT which you will be impressed and amazed.

On April 1st 1996 iconic American singer Tina Turner released her 8th solo album Wildest Dreams which it went to number 61 in the USA pop charts, number 26 in the USA R&B/Hip Hop charts, number 4 in the UK and number 14 in Australia which it was produced by Terry Britten (the Australian group the Twilights) and Trevor Horn and from the album it had the hit singles GoldenEye, Whatever You Want, On Silent Wings with Sting, Missing You(her version of the John Waite song), Something Beautiful Remains and Wildest Dreams with Barry White which it was the US edition as Antonio Banderas is on the European edition of the album and it is now out again as it is 30 years when it came out it is been released as a double CD. This is from the Telegraph July 16th 1965 and now the talk back station as it is the only commercial one here in Brisbane 4BC was one of Brisbane's top music radio stations at the time in the 60's which among their disc jockeys were Geoff Atkinson, Tony MacArthur and Bob Wills who were on Daily from 4pm until midnight and all day Sunday playing the Top 40 as well as the records that was out at the time and also the person on the advert was Bert "Birdbrain" Robertson who was on in the mornings.

Yesterday afternoon I went to the Wynnum Fringe to see the legendary Australian country singer James Blundell which it was my first time seeing him live ever. Caught the bus from Cannon Hill to Wynnum, Had Pizza Sub and Salad Roll for lunch from Subway, had a look at Op Shop, walk to the Wynnum Fringe, went inside the Augathella Spiegeltent and waited. The show started at 3pm with James coming out with his son Briar on guitar and for the next hour and 5 minutes performed songs from the latest album as well as his 2 90's hits This Road and Way Out West as well as doing songs by Neil Young, Slim Dusty and Pink Floyd as well as telling stories including his son playing him songs that he knew including Richard Clapton as well as Slim Dusty story and hearing Bruce Springsteen as well as Brair sang lead on a few songs too as well as playing great guitar. This is from the Queensland Times Ipswich July 7th 1967 and until 1992 when it became 4TAB which it is now Radio TAB 4IP was one of Brisbane's popualr radio stations at the time in the 60's which was at the time it was based in Ipswich but it was making a impact in Brisbane at the time which among their disc jockeys was David Greenwood who was on Monday to Friday from 4pm until 7pm which there was an competition that was on at the time which was called Name and Claim It and also David Greenwood hosted the Brisbane music show Countdown on Channel 0 in that year of 1967.

This is the new album by legendary American country singer Willie Nelson and it was recorded in Nashville with the songs which 6 written by Willie all co written with Buddy Cannon who produced the album as well as Buddy writing 2 as well as Mickey Raphael who plays harmonica with Willie wrote one and Earl Montogmery wrote one and besides from Mickey Raphael among the musicians who played on the album including Fred Eltringham on drums and percussion from the Wallflowers, Tommy White on Steel guitar, Bobby Terry on Acoustic Guitar and James Mitchell on electric guitar. This afternoon I went to the Events Cinema Carindale to see the movie Minions and Monsters and Olivia(Allison Janney) who is a tourist guide in the Film history museum leading a team and she tells the story about the Minions history including James and Henry who had been with a group of Minions who served different masters including an wicked warlock and both James and Henry also developed an friendship with Ed (all voiced by Pierre Coffin) which they stumbled across a train robbery as it turned out to be an staged performance for a movie and the Minions are hired to do movies by directed Max(Christoph Waltz) and it gets interesting. It is excellent, very funny and very entertaining with excellent acting by Jeff Bridges, Jesse Eisenberg, Allison Janney, Pierre Coffin who directed it and wrote it with Brian Lynch, Christoph Waltz and Trey Parker and it was produced by Chris Meledandri and Bill Ryan. This afternoon I went to the Junk Bar in New Farm which was my first time going there to see Alan Fletcher who played Dr Karl Kennedy on the iconic Australian soap Neighbours from 1994-2025 which it was my 1st time seeing him live and it was my 4th time seeing an actor from Neighbours live. The show started with Alan, his wife Jennifer Hansen who was an Melbourne newsreader on keyboards and Riley Catherall on guitar and he did 2 sets which were mainly original songs that he wrote as well as one he wrote with Jackie Woodburne who played his wife Susan on Neighbours as well as Jennifer sang lead in the 1st set doing Party Girl as well as an duet with Alan as well as Alan telling some stories including mentioning Neighbours and finished off the 1st set with the Slim Dusty song The Biggest Disappointment and there was a interval where I had a Coke with No Sugar. Last night I went to QPAC Concert Hall to see Al Jardine who is one of the founding members of the iconic American band the Beach Boys with his own band The Pet Sounds Band which includes his son Matt who sang with the Beach Boys in the 90's and the others musicians in the band played with Brian Wilson for many years and it was my first time to see Al live as I did not see him perform with the Beach Boys in the 90's as well as in 2012 when the surviving members got back together for the album That's Why God Made The Radio and tour including Brisbane but at least I got the opportunity to QPAC which was originally intended for October last year but was rescheduled. I caught the bus to South Bank, went to the Plough Inn where I had Sirloin Pork Chops, chips and Salad for dinner, drank Pepsi Max, went to NZ Natural Ice Cream, ate movie bowl Sundae and walk to QPAC.
