4BH July 1962

This is from the Southside News July 25th 1962 and now the classic hits station here in Brisbane in 2026 4BH was one of Brisbane's popular radio stations at the time in the early 60's which among their disc jockeys was Bill Gates who was the one who gave the Bee Gees their name as well as doing the record hops around Brisbane including O'Connor Boathouse which was in North Quay as well as doing the City Hall in 1959 and 1960 at Lunchtimes was on every day playing the records that was out at the time.

On january 31st went to see the movie tooth fairy at carindale cinema. derek thompson(dwayne johnson) is an minor league hockey leagues player whose nick namr is the tooth fairy because he hits opposing players so hard that he knocks their tooth out. he has an girlfriend named Carly(Ashley Judd) who has 2 children Tess(destiny Whitlock) and Randy(Chase Ellison) which he is friendly with Tess and not an easy one with Randy. he's been saying that dreams are bad and no such thing as a tooth fairies and late one night he recieves an summons which he goes to fairy land where he meets Tracy(Stephen merchant) and head fairy Lily(Julie ANdrews). Vale Peter Flanagan(the Fauns/The Flanagans)

Peter Flanagan member of legendary Australian singing family group the Fauns aka the The Flanagans passed away on September 2nd aged 73 at the Royal North Shore Hospital in Sydney. Peter along with brother Paul and Sister Margaret began as the Fauns in 1959 as they had been doing classical music training which they released 3 singles on the Leedon label- Dance With Me/Don't Take the Stars, We Should Be Together/While Susan Sleeps and Nursery Rhymes Rock and as the Flanagans they released 4 singles on the HMV label-He/Wonderland Of Love and Dreams(1965), Follow the Wind/Land OF Beyond(1965), You Were Meant FOr Me/That's How Man Began(1966) and This is My Song/For Bobby(1967). the group did appearances on Bandstand,Six O'Clock Rock, Teen Time, The Johnny O'Keefe Show, Sing Sing Sing, the Mike Walsh Show, IMT, Revue 61, Revue 62 and many others as well as performing on the Matt Munro TV special in 1966 as well as performing in the clubs too as well as co writing the song...
