Romance of the Jukebox is the new album by Australian singing group Human Nature and this album had most covers of classic 60's and 70's song by the Beatles, The Troggs, Van Morrison, The Bee Gees, The Monkees as well as 1 original song and it's produced by Steve Fitzmaurice. It's BRILLIANT and SUPERB with FANTASTIC Harmonies which they do these songs in their style and are just AWESOME and BRILLIANT and are going to tour Australia in April and May next year. Working Class Boy by Jimmy Barnes

This is the soundtrack album of the documentary film about the legendary Australian rock singer Jimmy Barnes which it's based on the book that he wrote in 2016 as well as the tour in 2017 which he sang songs and told stories from the book and this live CD was recorded at the State Theatre in Sydney on April 12th 2017 which there is 12 songs, 2 instrumentals and 13 spoken stories and Disc 2 as I am reviewing the double CD has songs that's in the documentary film with a band on the soundstage. It's FANTASTIC, BRILLIANT and SUPERB with FANTASTIC songs and AWESOME stories tells it all about the documentary as well as being entertaining, funny and BRILLIANY as well as the songs on disc 2 which songs are FANTASTIC with great singing too. This album has entered the Australian album charts at Number 3 and this is an must for Jimmy Barnes fans. I give it 5 stars and it's in the shops right now so do yourselves an favour and BUY IT.

This book is written by Australian actor Peter Phelps and he talks about his grandfather Tom Phelps who had enlisted in the army but didn't go to WW1 but lived in New Guinea in the late 30's working in the Gold Mines when WW2 occurred , not waiting to get killed and with escape route getting bombed Tom and his friends' only option was to walk to safety on one of the most rugged terrain on Earth called The Bulldog Track and while in Sydney Tom's wife Rose and their 4 children waiting for the news of Tom's fate which his son George seeing the newsreels of the war knowing that his father is somewhere there. it's an Courageous, Gutsy, BRILLIANT, SUPERB and impressive as well as an amazing tale of survival with luck. In this book she talks about her upbringing in Pine Bluff Arkansas, meeting Jim Ed Brown of the Singing group the Browns which they would be together for 54 years with 2 children and 5 grandchildren, her life as an model, dance teacher, make up artist and dancer including working on the Johnny Cash show, friendships with country musician wives as well as people like Eddy Arnold, Little Jimmy Dickens, Chet Atkins etc, her faith in God through difficult times, the passing of her husband in 2015, life on the road with her husband and many others. This is the new album by legendary Australian rock group The Screaming Jets and it has covers of classic Australian rock acts including AC/DC, The Angels which Dave Gleeson is also the lead singer of that band, Dragon, Stevie Wright, Australian Crawl, Men At Work and many others, It's AWESOME, BRILLIANT and it ROCKS with great songs which they do an AWESOME job doing those Australian rock classics with great singing by Dave and they are on tour at the moment which for Queensland fans they will be at the Parkwood Tavern on the Gold Coast on Thursday and the Hamilton Hotel in Brisbane on Friday. This is the double CD by American country singer Johnny Cash and it has every classic song that Johnny Cash recorded during his time with Sun Records owned by Sam Phillips which it includes the classic hits he had with Sun including I Walk The Line, Ballad Of the Teenage Queen, Big River, Cry Cry Cry, Guess Things Happened that Way and many others. it's an FANTASTIC double CD with FANTASTIC songs which has stood the test of time which they sound great today as it did back then. James Austin did the liner notes as well as being one of the compilation producers with mike Curb and John A Singleton who is the Sun Entertainment Corporation President was the executive producer and it's been 15 years next month since the passing of Johnny Cash but the great music he made still lives on forever. Last night I went to Kedron Wavell Services Club to see legendary British 60's group the Fortunes which it was my first time seeing them live and I never saw them when Rod Allen original member of the group was with them which he passed away in 2008 and the line up that are performing are Michael Smitham on guitar and vocals who has been with them since 1983, Eddie Mooney from the Dakotas on bass and vocals since 2007, Glenn Taylor from Marmalade on drums and vocals since 2010 and Bob Jackson from Badfinger since 1995 on keyboards and vocals but he is not on the Australian tour so Toni Baker from the Dakotas is on keyboards and vocals. I caught the bus from Cannon Hill to Chermside, walk to Kedron Wavell, went to the café, rang home, ordered Nachos and bought an glass of coke. Tonight (August 17th) I went to see the legendary British 60's group Hermans Hermits @ the Redlands performing Arts Centre and it was my 14th time seeing them . I caught the train from Cannon Hill to Cleveland, pick up my ticket, went to the Cleveland Sands Hotel, had Chicken Parmigina with chips and salad for dinner and an Diet Coke to drink. Went back to the Performing Arts Centre, went inside and waited. The show started at 6pm with Hermans Hermits with original member Barry Whitwam on drums, Geoff Foot on bass guitar and vocals, Paul Cornwell on lead guitar and vocals and Tony Hancox who has been with them since last year on keyboards and vocals came on stage and for the next 2 hours they did 2 sets doing the classic Hermans Hermits from the 60's as well as other classic rock and pop songs as well as Barry doing Let There be Drums and also Barry talking about meeting Elvis Presley as well as the American tour with the Who in 1967 and also did some HH hits they had not don

This CD by the legendary American rock and roll group the Beach Boys with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra was done at Abbey Road London using 17 of the Beach Boys classic songs and combining it with the orchestra worked brilliantly and superbly. It's AWESOME, FANTASTIC & SUPERB and hearing these songs are just SUPERB and an job well done. It was produced by Nick Patrick and Don Reedman and executive producer was Jerry Schilling who worked with Elvis Presley as well as the Beach Boys and the late Carl Wilson. On Sunday August 5th I went to the Cleveland Showgrounds for the rockabilly festival Greazefest and it was also 10 years when I first went there when it was at South Leagues Club @ Westend. I caught the bus to Cleveland, walk to the show grounds, paid ticket, rang home, took photos and I had an look at record sale. The first group coming on was Jon Flynn's Knight of Sin and they did an AWESOME set doing an mixture of covers including Three Cool Cats(The Coasters), Gee(The Crows and later the Delltones), Aint Got No Home (Clarence Gatemouth Brown)and some originals with great guitar playing by Rupert, great bass playing by Jon and great drumming by Junior Hickey and there was an interval where I saw Kay from bay FM 100.3 as well as seeing Kelly and Ben as well as meeting Gavin. On Saturday August 11th I went to the Wynnum RSL to see Elvis tribute performer Dean Vegas which it was my 7th time as I saw last saw him @ Coolangatta Tweed Golf Club in Tweed Heads during Cooly Rocks On Saturday June 10th 2017. I caught the train from Cannon Hill to Wynnum Central, walk to Wynnum RSL, renew membership, waited, Saw my rockabilly friend Ursula, Robyn who I was going to the show with and my old school friend Michael Baldwin with his mum, went inside, Had Spaghetti Bolognaise for dinner, ate bread and drank Coke Zero. Went upstairs, met Victoria and Melissa and talked. The Eagels Band @ Easts Leagues Club

On Saturday July 14th I went to Easts Leagues Club to see the Eagels Band an tribute band to the legendary American rock group the Eagles and it was about my 3rd time seeing this tribute band. Dad took me to Easts, Had Nachos for dinner, had an Coke Zero to drink, had Pancake For desert and did some writing. The show started at about 8pm which the band came on the stage as they would do 2 sets and in the first set they performed most of the 70's songs as well as the 1994 song Get Over It and there was an interval which I had an coke zero to drink. In the second set they did more Eagles classics as well as 2 of the Don Henley solo hits from the 1980's as well as the Glenn Frey hit The Heat Is On as well as an Joe Walsh Song and towards the end of the show people were shouting for more which they finished off the show with the Classic Hotel California.
