The Bulldog Track by Peter Phelps

This book is written by Australian actor Peter Phelps and he talks about his grandfather Tom Phelps who had enlisted in the army but didn't go to WW1 but lived in New Guinea in the late 30's working in the Gold Mines when WW2 occurred , not waiting to get killed and with escape route getting bombed Tom and his friends' only option was to walk to safety on one of the most rugged terrain on Earth called The Bulldog Track and while in Sydney Tom's wife Rose and their 4 children waiting for the news of Tom's fate which his son George seeing the newsreels of the war knowing that his father is somewhere there. it's an Courageous, Gutsy, BRILLIANT, SUPERB and impressive as well as an amazing tale of survival with luck. Peter Phelps has done an great job paying tribute to his grandfather and father with love & honour and this an must for people who into Australian war history which I give it 5 stars as it's in the shops now so do yourselves an favour and BUY IT.
