4BC Top 30 Charts July 1973

This is from the Telegraph July 27th 1973 and this was the 4BC Top 30 charts with Col Joye at number 1 with Heaven Is My Woman's Love, Jud Strunk at number 2 with Daisy A Day, Wings which had Paul McCartney at number 3 with My Love and Dawn with Tony Orlando at number 4 with Tie A Yellow Ribbon. The new entries in the charts that week were Paul Simon at number 25 with Kodachrome, Australian entertainer Barry Crocker at number 28 with his version of the 1958 hit for Robin Luke Susie Darlin and Abigail who was on the iconic Australian soap Number 96 at number 30 with Je T'Aime and besides from Col Joye, Barry Crocker and Abigail the other Australian acts in the charts that week were Jamie Redfern at number 5 with Venus, Linda George at number 15 with her version of the Gladys Knight and the Pips song Neither One Of Us, The Bee Gees at number 16 with Saw A New Morning, Helen Reddy at number 20 with her version of the Tanya Tucker song Delta Dawn and Ross Ryan at number 24 with I Don't Want To Know About It.

On january 31st went to see the movie tooth fairy at carindale cinema. derek thompson(dwayne johnson) is an minor league hockey leagues player whose nick namr is the tooth fairy because he hits opposing players so hard that he knocks their tooth out. he has an girlfriend named Carly(Ashley Judd) who has 2 children Tess(destiny Whitlock) and Randy(Chase Ellison) which he is friendly with Tess and not an easy one with Randy. he's been saying that dreams are bad and no such thing as a tooth fairies and late one night he recieves an summons which he goes to fairy land where he meets Tracy(Stephen merchant) and head fairy Lily(Julie ANdrews). this is another new segment on Rockin Luke as we look at the rock'n'roll tours of Australia from the 50's,60's and 70's from the well known tours and to some that don't get a lot of mention so let's start off with the Buddy Holly tour of Australia in 1958. Vale Peter Flanagan(the Fauns/The Flanagans)

Peter Flanagan member of legendary Australian singing family group the Fauns aka the The Flanagans passed away on September 2nd aged 73 at the Royal North Shore Hospital in Sydney. Peter along with brother Paul and Sister Margaret began as the Fauns in 1959 as they had been doing classical music training which they released 3 singles on the Leedon label- Dance With Me/Don't Take the Stars, We Should Be Together/While Susan Sleeps and Nursery Rhymes Rock and as the Flanagans they released 4 singles on the HMV label-He/Wonderland Of Love and Dreams(1965), Follow the Wind/Land OF Beyond(1965), You Were Meant FOr Me/That's How Man Began(1966) and This is My Song/For Bobby(1967). the group did appearances on Bandstand,Six O'Clock Rock, Teen Time, The Johnny O'Keefe Show, Sing Sing Sing, the Mike Walsh Show, IMT, Revue 61, Revue 62 and many others as well as performing on the Matt Munro TV special in 1966 as well as performing in the clubs too as well as co writing the song...
