Moana

This afternoon I went to the Events Cinema Carindale to see Moana which it is the live action version. Moana (Catherine Laga'aia) who is the daughter of Motuni's chief Tui (john Tui) and Sina (Frankie Adams) who have been to keep their daughter away from the ocean as to prepare her to become the chief of Island and she wants to try to go beyond the reef to get more fish as well as exploring the ocean as vegetation are getting killed as well as fish catching was shrinking by the blight that was hitting the island but Tui forbids and Moana tries to but could not to being overpowered by the waves and also Moana's grandmother Tala (Rena Owen) shows her a secret place in the cave which was where the yachts were in there were yachts as the people of Motuni until Maui (Dwayne Johnson) stole Ti Fiti's heart which made the ocean no longer safe to go on as the island is getting destroyed be Te Ka's darkness so the only way to get it cured is to Moana to find Maui to get it back and restore it which then Moana along with her pet chicken go on the camakau which they are caught in a typhoon and shipwrecked on a island where she encounters Maui and starts with them at odds with each other but eventually get along which it gets interesting. It is excellent, very funny and very entertaining with excellent acting by Dwayne Johnson who is also one of the producers, Catherine Laga'aia who is the daughter of Australian actor Jay who was on Home and Away, Water Rats and Play School, John Tui, Rena Owen and Frankie Adams and it is directed by Thomas Kail and besides from Dwayne Johnson the other producers were Beau Flynn, Dany Garica, Hariam Garcia and Lin-Manuel Miranda. It is feel good movie which it must for the family and this is the very first movie for Catherine Laga'aia which she has a very good career as she has potential and there is a lot that she can do in movies which let's hope the best for her. I am giving this 4 stars as it's in the cinemas now so please do yourselves a favour and SEE It which you will be impressed and amazed.

Vale Peter Flanagan(the Fauns/The Flanagans)

Peter Flanagan member of legendary Australian singing family group the Fauns aka the The Flanagans passed away on September 2nd aged 73 at the Royal North Shore Hospital in Sydney. Peter along with brother Paul and Sister Margaret began as the Fauns in 1959 as they had been doing classical music training which they released 3 singles on the Leedon label- Dance With Me/Don't Take the Stars, We Should Be Together/While Susan Sleeps and Nursery Rhymes Rock and as the Flanagans they released 4 singles on the HMV label-He/Wonderland Of Love and Dreams(1965), Follow the Wind/Land OF Beyond(1965), You Were Meant FOr Me/That's How Man Began(1966) and This is My Song/For Bobby(1967). the group did appearances on Bandstand,Six O'Clock Rock, Teen Time, The Johnny O'Keefe Show, Sing Sing Sing, the Mike Walsh Show, IMT, Revue 61, Revue 62 and many others as well as performing on the Matt Munro TV special in 1966 as well as performing in the clubs too as well as co writing the song...
