The Searchers @ Kedron Wavell Services Club

On Sunday February 22nd I went to Kedron Wavell Services Club to see legendary British 60's group the Searchers and It was my 10th time seeing them. I caught a bus to Chermside from the city as I went to church that morning, walk to Kedron Wavell, went to Cafe where I had Beef Nachos for lunch, had a Coke to Drink, had an Chocolate Sundae for desert, bought a ticket to see Hermans Hermits on August 21st, had a look at notepad, went to Blue Pacific Room which it has been refurbished, took a photo and spoke with a lady who was sitting next to me. the show started around 2.15pm with the Searchers coming on stage and for over 2 hours they did 2 sets doing their classic hits from the 60's as well as other people's songs by acts like Roy Orbison, Del Shannon, Buddy Holly etc as well as stories being told about their history as well as the great humor between Frank Allen and John McNally which it was so funny and also getting the audience singing along to the songs and that is ...

The Avengers @ Easts Leagues Club

Last Saturday February 14th I went to Easts Leagues Club to see the Avengers which it was my 23rd time seeing them and first time this year. Dad took me to Easts Leagues Club, went to the Cafe which I had Lasanga and Salad for dinner, drank Coke Zero, ate Ice Cream and Muffin, saw Roger,Laura and Graeme which I spoke with them as well as seeing Mick. The Show started @ 7.30pm which they did 4 sets of songs by Elvis Presley, Buddy Holly, Bill Haley, Dire Straits, The Beatles, Billy Joel,Creedence, Chuck Berry, Dion, The Eagles, Cliff Richard, Queen, the Turtles, Roy Orbison and many others and one at one point Mick and Garth sat my table as well as Mick buying me an Coke Zero during one of the intervals as well as Frank who is friends with the group played drums on 2 songs. the show finished @ 11.30pm which I thanked the guys, Dad picked me up and came home. Last Friday night I went to the Balmoral Cinema to see the movie Selma. It's 1964 and Martin Luther King(David Oyelowo) accepts the Noble Peace Prize while prior to that an bomb explosion occurred which kills 4 girls while Annie Lee Cooper(Oprah Winfrey) goes to get registered to vote but is rejected by the white registrar and Martin Luther King along with Ralph Abernathy(Colman Domingo), Andrew Young(Andre Holland), James Orange(Omar Dorsey) and Diane Nash(Tessa Thompson) goes to Selma,Alabama which they are greeted by James Bevel(Common) as well as the other SCLC members which leads to the start of the historical struggle to secure the voting rights for African Americans by marching from Selma to Montgomery Alabama which gets interesting. Paul Simon and Sting show @ Brisbane February 3rd 2015

Last Tuesday February 3rd I went to the Brisbane Entertainment Centre to see legendary singers Paul Simon and Sting which it was my first time seeing them. I caught the train to Central Station where I had McChicken Burger and Fries for dinner and McFlurry for desert as drank an Coke Zero and caught train from Central to Boondall which i walked to the Entertainment Centre. I rang home, bought the program, T shirt and an bag, bought popcorn and Coke Zero, ate popcorn,drank coke Zero, went inside, use mobile and had a look at program. The show started around 7.45pm with Paul Simon and Sting coming on stage which they were on stage for over 2 hours and 45 minutes and would performed many of their classic songs including some of the Simon & Garfunkel as well as the police songs as well as the solo stuff as which they did some songs together as well as doing the songs on their own and they had their own back up bands like the musicians who would back Sting when he did his set and th...
