On Friday August 21st I went to Kedron Wavell Services to see legendary British 60's group Hermans Hermits that has drummer Barry Whitwam which it was my 11th time seeing them and it is 20 years ago when I first saw them live as part of the British 60's show @ Festival Hall on Saturday February 11th 1995. Dad took me to the bus stop @ Cannon Hill, use mobile, caught bus, read Michael Gudinski book, got off at Chermside and walked to Kedron Wavell. Went to the Cafe, rang home, saw Kevin and Di,ordered Nachos and Sundae, bought coke, talked and use mobile. Had Nachos for dinner, drank Coke, ate Sundae, went upstairs, saw Samantha, went inside Blue Pacific Room, saw Darryl and Elaine, use mobile and waited. The show started after 8pm with Hermans Hermits coming on stage as they did 2 sets which they performed many of their hits from the 60's as well as some album tracks as well as classic rock n roll songs as well as Barry speaking on stage about meeting Elvis Presley in Hawa...

On Sunday August 2nd I went to the Greazefest Festival which it was my 8th time and it's 5 years since it was held at the Rocklea Showgrounds. Dad drove me to Rocklea, walk to the show grounds, took photos, had a look at Record and CD Sales and saw an friend from Mt Gravatt High School Kate Koppenol whom I had not seen for a few years. The first band I saw there was the Koffin Rockers from Townsville and they did an AWESOME set which they did an mixture of covers which included AC DC,Johnny Cash, Bill Haley and Johnny O'Keefe and some originals and the guitarist stood on the double bass towards the end of their set which looked great and also they had some CD's after the show as well as seeing Sarah and Lorraine and drank Coke Zero. The next Band that came on stage were Twang which it's been about my 3rd time seeing them and they did an AWESOME set which they did their mainly their own songs as well as selling an CD and also took photos, had a look at Cruzin, Art and ...

On Saturday August 1st I went to Kedron Wavell to see the legendary American girl group the Crystals, Australian singer Ray Burgess and the All Stars which it was my first time seeing both The Crystals and Ray Burgess and it's been 7th time seeing the All Stars which includes Ian B Allen and Barry Roy. This show was to have Dave Sommerville from the legendary Canadian group the Diamonds as he was on the bill for the tour but passed away just before the tour started as I was looking forward to seeing and the line up stayed with the 3 acts. i caught a bus to Chermside, walked to Kedron Wavell, rang home, went to the cafe, saw Elaine( my friend from the gigs), Had Beef Nachos for dinner, drank Coke and had an Sundae. Went inside the Blue Pacific Room, Use Mobile, drank water, saw Daryl(Elaine's Husband), Kevin,Di and Sandra and talked. The show started @ about 7pm with the All Stars performing classic rock n roll songs with some of the members doing lead vocals as well as Graem...

Legendary Australian singer Digger Revell will be performing @ the Rainbow Bay Surf Club in Coolangatta on Sunday 30th August and it will start @ 3pm. Digger will perform most of his hits from the 60's as well as doing classic rock and pop songs, rockabilly, country and an Al Jolson segment and always puts on an AWESOME Show which he still sounds great and singing better than ever as well as still packing the crowds after all these years. If you have not seen Digger Revell live do yourself a favour and DO IT which I'm sure it will enjoy it as well as bringing back memories for those who grew up in the 60's when he had all those hit records as well as in the era of Bandstand, Sing Sing Sing ,Six O'Clock Rock etc as well as for those who were not born in that era but who has an interest in it you will truly experience seeing an true Australian music legend.

On Sunday July 26th I went to Balmoral Cinema where I saw the movie Mr Holmes. It's 1947 and an aging Sherlock Holmes(Ian McKellen) who has just returned from Japan where he was searching of a rear plant with powerful restorative qualities as well as witnessing the devastation of nuclear warfare. Now living in his seaside farmhouse with his housekeeper Mrs Munro(Laura Linney) and her son Roger(Milo Parker) Holmes is tending to his bees and is revisiting the circumstances of the unsolved case that forced Holmes into retirement as he is relying on Roger to help him and it gets interesting. it is an excellent movie with excellent acting by Ian McKellen, Laura Linney, Milo Parker, Hiroyuki Sanada as Matsuda Umezaki, Hattie Morahan as Ann Kelmot and Patrick Kennedy as Ann's husband Thomas. It is directed by Bill Condon, produced by Anne Carey, Iain Canning and Emile Sherman and Jeffrey Hatcher did the screenplay. I am giving this 4 stars.

On July 17th I went to Easts Leagues Club to see the Avengers which it was my 26th time seeing them as well as my 4th time this year and second time that week as I saw them @ the Old Rockers Get Together @ Broncos Leagues Club. Dad took me to Easts Leagues Club, saw Nadine who works at the club, went to Cafe, rang Dad and use mobile. Had Nachos for dinner, drank Coke Zero,ate Cake, saw Roger and Mick, talked which Roger gave me an Signed Poster of the group and had a drink of water. The Show started @ 7.30pm which they did 4 sets and for the next 4 hours they did songs by Elvis, Buddy Holly, Cliff Richard, Bill Haley, Fleetwood Mac, The Beach Boys, the Beatles as well adding songs by John Paul Young and the Bellamy Brothers and also saw Ron,Sue, Lorraine and Maggie and had a conversation with Roger which he gave me a program of the Chinese New Year show which the Avengers played and also Frank played 2 songs during one of the sets. The Show finished @ 11,30pm, thanked the guys, Dad...
