Then He Kissed Me Show @ Kedron Wavell August 1st 2015

On Saturday August 1st I went to Kedron Wavell to see the legendary American girl group the Crystals, Australian singer Ray Burgess and the All Stars which it was my first time seeing both The Crystals and Ray Burgess and it's been 7th time seeing the All Stars which includes Ian B Allen and Barry Roy. This show was to have Dave Sommerville from the legendary Canadian group the Diamonds as he was on the bill for the tour but passed away just before the tour started as I was looking forward to seeing and the line up stayed with the 3 acts. i caught a bus to Chermside, walked to Kedron Wavell, rang home, went to the cafe, saw Elaine( my friend from the gigs), Had Beef Nachos for dinner, drank Coke and had an Sundae. Went inside the Blue Pacific Room, Use Mobile, drank water, saw Daryl(Elaine's Husband), Kevin,Di and Sandra and talked. The show started @ about 7pm with the All Stars performing classic rock n roll songs with some of the members doing lead vocals as well as Graeme Broomfield on sax and Steven Kelson on piano which I saw him with Normie Rowe @ Kedron Wavell on June 25th as they performed for about 40 minutes and then Ray Burgess who was well known in the 70's with hits like Touch Me,Gloria, Love Fever as well as hosting the ABC show Flashez came on stage which he performed Australian songs done by Johnny O'Keefe, Billy Thorpe, Easybeats as well as his hit Gloria and there was an interval where Ray and the All Stars were selling CD's which I bought CD's by the All Stars and Ray as well as getting an autograph and an photo with Ray Burgess as well as having an conversation with Daryl and Elaine as well as eating popcorn. The All Stars started the second set with 3 songs including Walkin Along by the Diamonds as a tribute to Dave Sommerville and then the Crystals came on stage with original member Dee Dee Kennibrew with members Melissa Antoinette "MelSOulTree Grant and Patricia Pritchett Lewis performing some of their hits as well as classic songs by other popular girl groups as well as the Andrews Sisters song Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy as well as the Sam and Dave song Hold On I'm Coming and the audiences including myself were singing along to the songs as we were called cousins for the night. The show finished before 9.50pm which the Crystals came out to sign stuff as they were selling an live CD which I bought it and i got it signed as well as getting an photo with them as well as having an Coke Life, waited outside, Dad picked me up and came home. It was an FANTASTIC show which everyone had an great time including myself as well as all the acts were FANTASTIC too including the Crystals who still sound great after all these years and I hope they come back to Australia soon.
