Stick It is the autobiography of drummer and founding member of legendary American groups Vanilla Fudge, Cactus and Beck Bogert and Appice. In this book he talks about his upbringing in Brooklyn, got his first drums in 1959, played in groups like The Rockatones, the Vidells, the 3 Beets, the Zany Manhattans, Thursday's Children and the Pigeons, forming the group Vanilla Fudge in 1966 with Tim Bogert, Mark Stein and Vince Martell, having success with You Keep Me Hanging On, working with people like Jimi Hendrix, Led Zeppelin etx, forming Cactus in 1970 after Vanilla Fudge broke up, forming Beck Bogert and Appice included Jeff Beck in 1972 which lasted until 1974, formed KGB including Mike Bloomfield and Rick Grech(Traffic), working with Rod Stewart and Ozzy Osbourne, his 5 marriages, slept with 4,500 groupies and many others. In July-August this year legendary British 60's group Hermans Hermits will be touring Australia. The group with original drummer Barry Whitwam, Geoff Foot on bass and vocals, Paul Cornwell on guitar and vocals and Kevan Lingard on keyboards and vocals will be performing in Queensland, NSW, Victoria and WA and will perform many of their classic hits from the 60's including I'm Into Something Good, Mrs Brown You've Got A Lovely Daughter, I'm Henry the Eighth I Am, A Must To Avoid, No Milk Today, There's A Kind Of Hush, My Sentimental Friend, Leaning on A Lampost and many others as well as classic rock and pop songs. The show will start @ 11am and Lonnie Lee will perform his classic hits from the 50's and 60's including Ain't It So, Starlight Starbright, I Found A New Love, Yes Indeed I Do and many others as well as classic rock and country songs as well as bit of Johnny Ray and he has an great back up band the Leemen which includes on Drums Leon Isackson (ex Dig Richards and the R'Jays/Rajahs/Mighty Guys) and Alan Freeman (ex Delltones). Still So Excited is the autobiography of legendary American singer and member of the legendary American group the Pointer Sisters. in this book she talks about her upbringing in Oakland California, her 4 marriages as well as her relationship with Dennis Edwards of the Temptations, joining her sisters in 1972, having the great success in the 70's and 80's with hits like I'm So Excited, Fire, Baby Come and Get It, Automatic and many others, her problems with Drugs and Alcohol, the sad loss of her sister June and many others. It is an BRILLIANT and FANTASTIC book with FANTASTIC stories by Ruth and I enjoyed reading it. This book was co written with Marshall Terrill an music, film and sports writer who has written 20 books including biographies of Elvis Presley and Steve McQueen and The Pointer Sisters are still touring around which they will be coming to Australia in May and June. Pat Capocci Show @ Club Greenslopes April 9th 2016

On Saturday April 9th I went to Club Greenslopes to see rockabilly singer Pat Capocci with Brisbane rockabilly group Dan and the Dualtones as Pat was launching his new EP called More Thrills Than Ever. Dad dropped me to the club as we stopped @ Coco's and IGA on the way, paid $20.00 to get in, ordered Steak, chips and Salad, bought coke, use mobile and took photos. Had Steak, chips and salad for dinner, drank Coke, ate chocolate, use mobile, did writing and talked. The show started after 8pm with Dan and the Dualtones with Dan Nosovich, Jon Flynn and Mark Stephens coming on stage which they did an FANTASTIC set doing their own songs as well as some covers with Jon doing lead vocals on one song and there was an interval where I bought Pat's new EP and having an Coke Zero. Pat Capocci and his band came on stage which they did 2 FANTATSIC sets doing tracks from the new EP as well as songs from his other albums as well as doing Lindy Lou which everyone was enjoying themselves an...

Digger Revell @ Kedron Wavell April 26th

On Tuesday April 26th legendary Australian singer Digger Revell known for hits like I'm Building Castles in the Air, Over the Rainbow, My Little Rockers Turned Surfie, Twilight Time, My Prayer and others will be performing @ Kedron Wavell Services Club in Chermside Brisbane for Treasure Day Tuesday and It will start @ 11am. Digger will perform most of his hits from the 60's as well as rock n roll classic songs, pop, country, rockabilly and an Al Jolson segment and he puts on an AWESOME show which I'm sure you will enjoy it. A true legend of Australian rock who is still singing better than ever and gets the audience going as well as singing along to the songs. If you have not seen Digger Revell live but would like to see him do yourself a favour and see him which you will not be disappointed.

Russell Morris shows in Queensland April 2016

Legendary Australian Singer-Songwriter Russell Morris known for hits like the Real Thing, Sweet Sweet Love, Wings Of A Eagle, Rachel and many others will be coming back to Queensland to perform 2 shows. He will perform his classic hits from the 60's and 70's as well as tracks from his recent albums Sharkmouth, Van Diemen's Land And Red Dirt Red Heart and has an great backing band which includes John Creech(ex Mixtures and Bluestone)on drums, Peter Robinson on guitar and Mitch Cairns on bass and I'm sure you will enjoy the show which he puts on an FANTASTIC one with stories and excellent humour. It has been an great few years for Russell Morris with the successful albums about Australian characters from the past as well as the history and it's great to see that he is still going strong after nearly 50 years. The Avengers @ Easts Leagues Club April 1st 2016

Last Friday April 1st I went to the Easts Leagues Club to see the Brisbane group The Avengers which it's my 27th time seeing them as well as the first one for this year as I have not seen them live since Friday July 17th last year although I saw Roger Jellicoe with his wife Laura @ Jupiters at the Beach Boys Concert. Dad took me to Easts Leagues Club, saw Maggie, went to the Café, Ordered Nachos, Coke Zero and Cherry Ripe Chessecake and use mobile. Had Nachos for dinner, drank Coke Zero, Ate Cheese Cake, saw Roger, Graeme, garth, Mick and Paul, saw Lorraine and Leanne, met Verrell, Joan, Josey and Julie and talked. The show started @ 7.30pm and for the next 4 hours they did 4 sets which they did songs by Cliff Richard, The Beach Boys, The Beatles, Fleetwood Mac, Chuck Berry, John Paul Young, The Eagles, The Turtles, Creedence, The Monkees and many others and in the audience was original lead singer of the Avengers Dick Bentley which I saw him during one of the intervals as well ...
