Hermans Hermits Australian 2016 tour

In July-August this year legendary British 60's group Hermans Hermits will be touring Australia. The group with original drummer Barry Whitwam, Geoff Foot on bass and vocals, Paul Cornwell on guitar and vocals and Kevan Lingard on keyboards and vocals will be performing in Queensland, NSW, Victoria and WA and will perform many of their classic hits from the 60's including I'm Into Something Good, Mrs Brown You've Got A Lovely Daughter, I'm Henry the Eighth I Am, A Must To Avoid, No Milk Today, There's A Kind Of Hush, My Sentimental Friend, Leaning on A Lampost and many others as well as classic rock and pop songs. If you would like to see Hermans Hermits do yourselves an favour and see them as they put on an FANTASTIC show doing those classic songs which I'm sure it will bring back memories for those who grew up in the 60's and for those who were not born in the 60's but who has an interest in that era you will truly experience seeing an legendary British group who were more popular in the USA for a time in the mid 60's as well as still going strong as ever. This year is also 50 years when Hermans Hermits first toured Australia with Tom Jones and NZ singer Ray Columbus. Peter Flanagan member of legendary Australian singing family group the Fauns aka the The Flanagans passed away on September 2nd aged 73 at the Royal North Shore Hospital in Sydney. Peter along with brother Paul and Sister Margaret began as the Fauns in 1959 as they had been doing classical music training which they released 3 singles on the Leedon label- Dance With Me/Don't Take the Stars, We Should Be Together/While Susan Sleeps and Nursery Rhymes Rock and as the Flanagans they released 4 singles on the HMV label-He/Wonderland Of Love and Dreams(1965), Follow the Wind/Land OF Beyond(1965), You Were Meant FOr Me/That's How Man Began(1966) and This is My Song/For Bobby(1967). the group did appearances on Bandstand,Six O'Clock Rock, Teen Time, The Johnny O'Keefe Show, Sing Sing Sing, the Mike Walsh Show, IMT, Revue 61, Revue 62 and many others as well as performing on the Matt Munro TV special in 1966 as well as performing in the clubs too as well as co writing the song...

This is the book about 2 iconic Australian music shows that were on Channel 0 (now Channel 10)back in the 60's The Go Show on August 4th 1964 which lasted for 3 years and 222 episodes until September 17th 1967 and Kommotion hosted by Ken Sparkes was on from December 13th 1965 until September 28th 1967 after 356 episodes and in the book it has the info about both shows as well as episode guides as well the discography of both the Go label and the Kommotion label and the people who worked on Kommotion including Denise Drysdale and Molly Meldrum and many others including some memorabilla and photos of the artists. It is AWESOME, BRILLIANT and SUPERB with FANTASTIC and AWESOME stuff and amazing information about the Go Show which just celebrated 60 years an month ago and Kommotion as well as very impressive and very entertaining which it is well worth an read.
