Sunshine Records Story Starring Normie Rowe, Tony Worsley and Ross D Wylie @ KEdron Wavell June 25th 2016

On Saturday June 25th I went to Kedron Wavell where I went to see the Sunshine Records Story that starred legendary Australian singers Normie Rowe, Ross D Wylie and Tony Worsley and it was my second time seeing Ross D Wylie, 15th time seeing Normie Rowe which it's 15 years when I first saw him live and 16th time seeing Tony Worsley as it's 13 years when I first him live @ Coolangatta. Dad took me to Cannon Hill, caught bus to Chermside and walked to Kedron Wavell which I saw Gil Matthews who plays guitar with Normie Rowe as well as the drummer for Billy Thorpe and the Aztecs as well as Mondo Rock. Went to Café, rang home, had Beef Nachos for dinner, drank Coke, ate Sundae, went upstairs where I Saw Suzy, Kris(Graeme Trottman's wife) and Sam, went inside and saw Therese, Patrick, Berniece, Darryl, Donna Gaye, Roylene, Gary(her husband) and Dennis Annable of the Escorts an Brisbane group from the 60's. Little Pattie @ Twin Towns

On Wednesday November 22nd Legendary Australian singer Little Pattie known for her hits like He's My Blonde Headed Stompie Wompie Real Gone Surfer Boy, Stompin At Maroubra, Dance Puppet Dance, Pushin A Good Thing Too Far and others will be performing @ Twin Towns. The show starts @ 10.30am and she will do her classic hits from the 60's as well as doing rock, pop and country stuff as well as telling stories about her career too which I am sure you will be impressed. If you would like to see her do yourselves a favour and do it as she puts on an FANTASTIC show which everyone enjoys it and you will truly experience seeing an icon of Australian music who is still going strong today after 53 years when she had her first hit as well as bring back memories for those who grew up in the 60's watching Bandstand, Saturday Date, Sing Sing Sing and others and for those who was not born in that era it will be an experience.

The AVengers @ Easts Leagues Club June 24th 2016

On Friday June 24th I went to Easts Leagues Club to see the group the avengers which it's my 29th time seeing them and 3rd time this year. Dad took me to the Club, went to the Café, saw maggie and Verrell, ordered Whiting, chips and salad, bought Coke Zero, use mobile and saw Roger and Laura. Had Whiting, Chips and Salad for dinner, drank Coke Zero, ate Belgium Waffles, talked and write notes. The show started @ 7.30pm and for the next 4 hours they did songs by the Beatles, The Beach Boys, the Bellamy Brothers, Elvis Presley, Buddy Holly, Bill Haley, Roy Orbison, Creedence and others as well as sitting in one seat for some part of the night and joined Maggie and the others later in the evening as well as saying hello to the guys in between sets and Roger saying something an music website about Brisbane music which he sent info to the person who doing this website. The show finished @ 11.30pm which I thanked the guys, Dad picked me up and came home. It was an FANTASTIC show which ...

Late For Woodstock @ the Marquee

On Wednesday June 8th I went to my first show for Cooly Rocks On 2016 @ the Marquee which was an tribute act called Late For Woodstock who are from the Sunshine Coast and have been performing since 1998 and I had not heard of them until when I saw their name on the Cooly Rocks On website a few months ago. I walked to the Marquee, spoke with a man from Melbourne, saw Shelia and drank water. The show started @ about 7pm and for the next 3 hours they did 3 sets of songs from the 60's and 70's by the Rolling stones, The Doors, Led Zeppelin, Bob Dylan, The Animals, Jimi Hendrix and others and had an Coke Zero during of the intervals and use my mobile. The show finished @ 10.05pm, thanked the guys and walk back to Bella Mare which I rang Dad on the way. It was an FANTASTIC show and everyone had a great time including myself and the band were great doing those great songs which I look forward to see them again soon. A Gift Of Love Bette Midler

A Gift Of Love is the new compilation Cd by legendary American singer Bette Midler and this CD has her ballads including hits like the Rose, Wind Beneath My Wings, From A Distance as well as songs from her albums and others. It is an FANTASTIC, BRILLIANT and SUPERB CD with great songs from the 70's up to now which sounds so good to this day. This CD went to number 46 in Australia and number 25 in the UK and I give it 4 and half stars. It's in the shops now and so do yourselves a favour and BUY IT.

Toni Tennille A Memoir

Toni Tennille A Memoir is the autobiography of legendary American singer as well as a member of the Duo Toni Tennille. In this book she talks about her upbringing in the South, learned her love of music through her father Frank who was an Big Band leader, had the tip of her finger crushed which she would to have 13 surgeries, got married to her first husband in 1962 which lasted for 10 years, worked in an musical called Mother Earth, met Daryl Dragon, worked with the Beach Boys, having success together throughout the 70's with hits like Love Will Keep Us Together, Do That To Me One More Time, Shop Around, You Never Done It Like That and others, their marriage which would last 39 years and many others. It's an FANTASTIC, BRILLIANT and an Excellent book with Great stories told by Toni and it was co written with her niece Caroline. This book is a must for the fans of 70's music and I give this 4 and an half stars which it's in the shops somewhere so do yourselves a favo...

Lucky Starr @ Kedron Wavell

On Wednesday September 21st this year legendary Australian singer Lucky Starr known for the hit single I've Been Everywhere in 1962 will be performing @ Kedron Wavell and it will start @ 11am with local singer Davo starting off then Lucky will come on. Besides from his hit he will perform other rock songs as well as country songs which I'm sure you will enjoy it as he puts on an FANTASTIC show and I'm sure it will brings back memories for those who grew up in the 60's in the era of Bandstand and 6 O'clock Rock. So you do yourselves a favour and see this legendary Australian music icon.
