King Of Staten Island
On Saturday I went to the South Bank Cinema to see the movie King Of Staten Island. Scott Carlin (Pete Davidson) who lives with his mother Margie (Marissa Tomei) who is an nurse and he is an high school dropout who lost his father who was an fireman in a fire when he was young, is unemployed, having medical problems, constantly smoking marijuana and is hanging out with his friends including Kelsey (Bel Powley) whom he is sleeping with her. Margie is having an relationship with Ray (Bill Burr) who is an fireman and Scott doesn't like him which he wants to break them up. After having been thrown out by his mother as well as his friends being in jail and wanting to stay with Kelsey but she doesn't want to he stays at the firehouse where Ray works and he helps out which starts getting interesting. It's excellent, very funny and very entertaining with excellent acting by Pete Davidson who also the screenplay with Dave Sirus and Judd Aptow, Marissa Tomei, Bill Burr, Bel Powley, Maude Aptow and and Steve Buscemi. It is directed by Judd Aptow and he produced it with Barry Mendel. I am giving this 4 stars as it's in the cinemas now so do yourselves an favour and BUY IT which you will be impressed.
