Spit

Last night I went to the Events Cinema at Garden City with my friend Matthew to see the movie Spit which it is the sequel to the 2003 Australian movie Gettin Square. After being on the for more than 20 years Johnny "Spit" Spitieri (David Wenham) flies into Australia on an fake passport he is arrested and is taken to the Immigration Detention Centre which he makes friends with other detainees including Jihad Kalif (Arlo Green) and teaches them his version of mateship and what it means to be truly Australian meanwhile his old enemies Charles"Chicka" Martin(Gary Sweet) and Arne Deviers(David Field) are looking for him as well as the authorities want to know who he is and where he has been and also reconnects with his sister Julie(Sofya Gollan) who he had not seen since they were taken to Foster Homes after losing their mother and it gets interesting. It is excellent, very funny and very entertaining with great acting by David Wenham, Gary Sweet, David Field, Arlo Green, Sofya Gollan, Anita Heigh, Andrea Moor, Bob Franklin and David Roberts. It is an feelgood Australian comedy with David Wenham does the role so very well along with other roles he has done and it is directed by Jonathan Teplitzky. This is an must for Australian movie fans and I am giving this 4 stars as it will be in the cinemas offcially on Tursday so do yourselves an favour and SEE IT which you will be impressed and amazed.
