Classic Albums-Ego Is Not A Dirty WOrd Skyhooks
For this week's classic album segment after a week off let's have a look at the 1975 album by legendary Australian rock group Skyhooks called Ego Is Not A Dirty Word. The album was recorded at TCS Studios in Melbourne between January and May 1975 and it was released in July 1975 which it hit number 1 in Australia on July 21st where it stayed for 11 weeks as it sold 180,000 copies. It was produced by Ross Wilson(Daddy Cool and Mondo ROck) as he had the produced the Living In the 70's album with John French doing the engineering and from this album that it had 2 hit singles the Title track Ego Is Not A Dirty Word and All My Friends Are Getting Married which 9 of the tracks were written by Greg Macainsh including Love ON the Radio with Steve Hill who was the original lead singer of Skyhooks before Shirley Strachan and the other song Every Chase A Steeple written by Red Symonds.
