Go Records the Complete Collection

This is the compilation of the Australian recording label which lasted for 2 years from March 1965 until may 1967 and it came at that time when the pop music show The Go Show had commenced on ATV O Melbourne in August 1964 which would last until September 1967 and it was hosted by Alan Field, Ian Turpie, Johnny Young and Ronnie Burns which it had people like Normie Rowe, Merv Benton, Bobby and Laurie, Terry Dean, The strangers, Marcie Jones, Pat Carroll, Olivia Newton John, Lynne Randall and many others. In this 4 CD set it has the singles with the b sides as well as EP and LP tracks by the acts who recorded on the Go label including Bobby and Laurie, MPD Limited, the Cherokees, Betty McQuade, Yvonne Barrett, The Henchmen, Terry Dean, The Rondells, the Strangers and bonus demo tracks by Justin Anthony and the Impacts. It's AWESOME,BRILLIANT and SUPERB with AWESOME ROCKIN songs that holds up so well today and it's sounds FANTASTIC today as it did back then and an job well done by Gil Matthews who owns Aztec Records as well as playing drums with Billy Thorpe and the Aztecs during the Sunbury period and Mondo Rock as well as plays guitar with legendary Australian singer Normie Rowe in the Playboys these days as well as the drummer on the Go Show Gold Tours for putting this CD together well done Gil. Ian MacFarlane did the liner notes on the booklet as there are 2 booklets on the CD and it's been 51 years since the Go Show finished as well as the label but it's great to see the interest of Australian 60's music still there and since 2011 there has been Go Show tours which has done very well which 2019 there will be an tour happening in may. This is an must for Australian 60's music fans which I give it 5 stars and you can get this CD on the Aztec Records website so do yourselves an favour and BUY IT which you will love it and I'm sure it will bring back memories for those who grew up in the 60's as well as for those who were not born in the 60's but has an interest in it you will be impressed.
