On Time by Morris Day

This is the memoir of American musician and singer Morris Day and in the book he talks about his early years in Illinois, his upbringing in Minneapolis Minnesota, started playing an drum age 4, played in an group called Grand Central, his friendship and musical partnership with Prince, having success with the Time which they would have successful hit singles Get Up and Go and Cool as well as having Terry Lewis, Jellybean Johnson and Jimmy jam , his 2 marriages, his issues with drugs and others. It's an FANTASTIC book with impressive, enjoyable and very entertaining stories and an great read indeed and it's co written with David Ritz who wrote Marvin Gaye's book as well as co writing books with BB King, Ray Charles, Smokey Robinson, Aretha Franklin and others. Morris Day still performs with the Time mainly in the USA and this is an must for soul and funk music fans. I give it 4 stars and it's in the shops now so do yourselves an favour and BUY IT which you will be amazed.
