Misbehaviour

 On Friday I went to the South bank Cinema to see the movie Misbehaviour. It's London 1970 and the Miss World Championship is happening with Bob Hope (Greg Kinnear) hosting it. Meanwhile Sally Alexander (Keira Knightley) an single mother  joins up with an group of women as part of the newly formed Women's Liberation Movement which also has Jo Robinson (Jessie Buckley) feel that the beauty competitions are demeaning to women and they plan to invade the stage and disrupt the live broadcast which gets interesting. It's FANTASTIC, very funny and very entertaining with great acting by Keira Knightley, Jessie Buckley, Greg Kinnear, Gugu Mbatha Raw who plays Jennifer Hosten, Lesley Manville who plays Bob Hope's wife Delores, Rhys Ifans as Eric Foley and Keeley Hawes as Julia Morley. It's directed by Phillipa Lowthorpe and produced by Suzanne Mackie and Sarah-Jane Wheale. It's an great story talking about when women were becoming an force in the world in the 70's an...

Classic Diamonds by Neil Diamond

 This is the new CD by legendary American singer-songwriter Neil Diamond  and he has recorded with the London Symphony Orchestra  which was recorded at both Abbey Road in London and Neil Diamond's studio in Los Angeles as well as re-recording 14 of his classic hits including Sweet Caroline, September Morn which Stevie Wonder plays harmonica, I Am I Said, I'm A Believer, Heartlight and many others. It's FANTASTIC, BRILLIANT and SUPERB with FANTASTIC songs combining with the Orchestra which works so well and just Brilliant. Walter Afanasieff produced the album and Jay Landers was the executive producer. This is an must for Neil Diamond fans and I give it 5 stars as it's in the shops now so do yourselves an favour and BUY IT which you will be amazed.

 This is the memoir of legendary American singer-songwriter and musician as well as founding member of legendary American rock groups the Byrds and the Flying Burrito Brothers Chris Hillman  and in this book he talks about his upbringing in Southern California, getting his first guitar at 15, his father's suicide, playing in the Scottsville Squirrel Barkers, The Golden State Boys and the Green Grass Group, formed the Byrds in 1964 which he would be with them until 1968 and would have great success with classics including Mr Tambourine Man, Turn Turn Turn, Eight Miles High, So You Want To Be A Rock and Roll Star as well as the behind the scenes , formed the Flying Burrito Brothers with Gram Parsons in 1968, playing with Stephen Stills in Manassas as well as playing in Souther Hillman Furay Band, great success with the Desert Rose Band in the 80's, becoming an Christian, his solo work and many others.  This is the new album by legendary Australian rock band AC/DC  which it's their first since 2014 with Rock Or Bust as it's their first since the passing of founding member and rhythm guitarist Malcolm Young  in 2017 and this is an tribute to him just like 40 years before when Back In Black was released it was an tribute to Bon Scott. This was recorded at the Warehouse Studio in Vancouver Canada in 2018 and 2019 and the songs are written by Angus and Malcolm Young as Angus went to the band's vault of unreleased songs to do the album. It's AWESOME, BRILLIANT, SUPERB and ROCKIN with great songs and the great vocals by Brian Johnson as well as the FANTASTIC guitar playing  by Angus Young  which makes the classic AC/DC sound we know them for  and great playing by Steve, Cliff and Phil. I'll Be Gone by Craig Horne

 This is the book about NZ-Australian singer-songwriter Mike Rudd written by Craig Horne and in this book it talks about Mike's upbringing in Christchurch New Zealand, playing in Chants R&B, coming to Australia in 1967, played with Ross Wilson in both of The Party Machine and Sons Of The Vegetal Mother, formed Spectrum in 1969 who would go on to great success in 1971 with the Australian classic hit I'll Be Gone, playing with Indelible Murtceps, Ariel, The Heaters and others,  his son's autism, the loss of his wife Helen in 1996 and bandmate Bill Putt in 2013 and many others. It's FANTASTIC, BRILLIANT and SUPERB with great research and very well put together by Craig Horne  who is an musician himself in the Hornets and wrote the Daddy Cool book a few years ago Daddy Who? and it's an FANTASTIC read  that is to be enjoyed again and again.  This is the autobiography of English musician, singer and songwriter Gary Numan and in this book he talks about his upbringing in Middlesex, getting an acoustic guitar at an early age, diagnosed with Asperger's, getting an electric guitar in his teenager years, played in bands with Crimson Lake and Black Gold, joined an band called The Lasers which would become Tubeway Army who would had the hit single "Are Friends Electric" and 2 albums, going solo with hit singles like Cars, This Wreckage, Complex, She Got Claws, flying the world, issues with depression and anxiety,  struggles with crippling debts, having an number 2 UK album with Savage in 2017  and others. It's an FANTASTIC, BRILLIANT and SUPERB book with FANTASTIC , AWESOME and impressive story and an enjoyable read  which I enjoyed it very much. Music The Air That I Breathe by Cliff Richard

 This is the new album by legendary British singer Cliff Richard and   5 tracks  had been recorded before never released and 7 are newly recorded  as the tracks are mainly covers including Here Comes The Sun, Too Much heaven, Where Or When, Let It be Me and others as well as duets with Albert Hammond, The Bellamy Brothers and Bonnie Tyler. It is an FANTASTIC, BRILLIANT and an SUPERB album with great songs and an great vocal performance by Cliff who is still sounding  great at age 80 as he just turned 80 an month ago. It has gone to number 3 in the UK and number 99 in Australia so far and in achieving that in the UK Cliff has become the first artist to have an Top 5 UK album in 8 consecutive decades which it's an great achievement for some one who has been on the UK music scene since 1958 and still doing it wonderful. he is singing better than ever and does those songs very well. This is an must for Cliff Richard fans and I give it 4 and an half stars as it'...

Bob Willis A Cricketer and a Gentleman

 This is the book about former English fast bowler Bob Willis who passed away December last year and it talks his late addition in the English cricket team going to Australia in 1970-71 which was the start of an 14 year career  that included the 8 for 43 against Australia in the Headingly Test as well as Captained England in the 80's,  doing coaching, commentating for Sky as well as personal anecdotes and testimony from those who knew him  and many others. It's  FANTASTIC, impressive and Very entertaining with great stories  as well as understanding the person behind the image. It's nearly an year next month since Bob Willis passed away  but his legacy is still remembered and his brother David did the editing with an foreword by former English cricketer Sir Ian Botham. This is an must for cricket fans and I give it 4 stars as it's in the shops so do yourselves an favour and BUY IT which I'm sure you'll be impressed.

 This is the memoir  of Australian actor and comedian Paul Hogan and in this book he talks about this upbringing in Sydney, his working as an rigger on the Sydney Harbor Bridge,  appearing on New Faces, doing A Current Affair with Mike Willessee, meeting John Cornell (aka Strope) who would become his business partner and manager, doing the Paul Hogan Show on both Channel 7 and Channel 9, doing Crocodile Dundee which was an huge success as it would lead to 2 sequels, living in America, working with John Mellion, Cuba Gooding Jr, Charlton Heston, Elijah Wood, Michael Caton, Shane Jacobsen etc, his 2 marriage to Noelene which they have 5 children and Linda Kozlowski which they have a son and many others.
