I'll Be Gone by Craig Horne
This is the book about NZ-Australian singer-songwriter Mike Rudd written by Craig Horne and in this book it talks about Mike's upbringing in Christchurch New Zealand, playing in Chants R&B, coming to Australia in 1967, played with Ross Wilson in both of The Party Machine and Sons Of The Vegetal Mother, formed Spectrum in 1969 who would go on to great success in 1971 with the Australian classic hit I'll Be Gone, playing with Indelible Murtceps, Ariel, The Heaters and others, his son's autism, the loss of his wife Helen in 1996 and bandmate Bill Putt in 2013 and many others. It's FANTASTIC, BRILLIANT and SUPERB with great research and very well put together by Craig Horne who is an musician himself in the Hornets and wrote the Daddy Cool book a few years ago Daddy Who? and it's an FANTASTIC read that is to be enjoyed again and again. This is an must for Australian fans of the 70's and I give it 5 stars as it's in the shops now so do yourselves an favour and BUY IT which you'll love it.
