The Radiators @ Cleveland Sands Hotel
Last night I went to the Cleveland Sands Hotel to see the legendary Australian rock band The Radiators which it is my 3rd time seeing them as the first was at the Countdown Spectacular 2 at the Brisbane Entertainment Center Tuesday August 21st 2007 and the second was at Kedron Wavell Friday October 1st 2010. I caught the bus to Cleveland, walk to the Sands Hotel, went to the Bistro, rang home, ordered my meal and did writing. Had chicken schentizel, chips and salad for dinner, drank 2 Coke with No Sugars, ate Chocolate Brownie for desert, paid for my meals, went inside, did writing and the support act Upsize who are an Brisbane band come on at 8.30pm which they did an of mainly their own songs which they sounded great. There was an interval where I bought Coke with No Sugar, drank it and use my mobile. The Radiators came on stage at 9.45pm with original member Geoff Turner and Brian Nichol along with Martin Cilia who played with the Atlantics from 1999-2013 and Mental As Anything from 2014-19 on guitar and Rick Turner on drums performing their classic songs including Summer Holiday, Gimme Head, No Tragedy and You as well as the Easybeats song Sorry which sounded great and everyone enjoying themselves and having an great time. I left at 10.45pm shortly before the show was over as Dad picked me up, stopped at Hungry Jacks Cannon Hill, got Chicken Burger, fries, nuggets and Coke with No Sugars and came home. It was an FANTASTIC show which i had an great time and the Radiators were FANTASTIC singing and playing great doing the songs that has stood the test of time and still sounding great today as it did back then and I look forward to seeing them live again soon.
