For this week's classic album segment let's have a look at the 1989 album Matchbook which was the debut album for guitarist and singer as well as ex Cold Chisel member Ian Moss. this album was recorded at Rhinoceros Recordings in Sydney and Oceanway Studios in Los Angeles California. Matchbook was released in August 1989 which it went to number 1 in Australia where it stayed for 3 weeks and it was Top 20 in New Zealand and it was produced by Ian Moss himself and Chris Lord-Alge who also did the engineering and mixing and assistant engineers were Brendan Morley and Jeff Lord-Alge and also the 6 of the tracks were written by ex Cold Chisel member Don Walker and others were by Ian himself. This album won 5 awards at the ARIAS that were Album Of the Year, Best Male Artist, Breakthrough-Artist Album, Single Of the Year and Breakthrough Artist-Single for Tucker's Daughter and it was from this album it had 4 hit singles Tuckers Daughter,Telephone Booth, Out Of the Fire and Mr Rai...
