Zookeepers show @ Carina Leagues Club

Last Night (January 30th) I went to Carina Leagues Club to see the local group the Zookeepers which it was my 3rd time seeing the group and it was my first time in 13 months when I went to Carina Leagues club which was New Years Eve 2013 when I saw Swizzle Trio as I could not go last year(2014) due to my tendinitis in the foot but it's better now. Dad took me to the club, went to the cafe which I had Beef Nachos for dinner, had an Chocolate Sundae for desert, had a coke to drink, use mobile, read book and waited. The show started at 8pm and for the next 3 and an half hours the group performed songs by Cher, Stevie Wonder, Pink, AC/DC, Robbie Williams, Michael Jackson and others and when they did Nutbush City Limits Megan came on the dance floor and sang as well as doing the movement which after finishing the song i took a photo of me and Megan doing a selfie. Paper Planes

On Monday January 26th(Australia Day)I went to the South Bank Cinema to see the Australian movie Paper Planes. Dylan (Ed Oxenbould) is an young boy who has a passion for paper planes and eventually competes in Japan at the World paper Planes Championships as well as dealing with his unemployed father Jack(Sam Worthington) who is still grieving over the death of Dylan's mother in an accident and gets inspiration from his RAAF fighter pilot grandfather (Terry Norris), an eagle he feeds on the way to school and Kimi(Ena Inmi)an Japanese paper plane world champion and it gets interesting throughout the movie. it is a excellent Australia movie with excellent acting by Ed Oxenbould, Sam Worthington, Debra Mailman who plays Maureen, Terry Norris, Ena Imani, Nicholas Bakopoulos-Cooke who plays Dylan's chief rival Jason, David Wenham who plays Jason's father Patrick an former golf player and Peter Rowsthorn who plays the teacher Mr Hickenlooper. Little Stevie and the Tail Fins @ Easts Leagues Club

On Friday January 23rd I went to Easts Leagues CLub with my Mum to see Little Stevie and the Tails which it was my second time seeing this band as my first was at Kirra on Saturday June 7th 2014 and my Mum knows Stephen as they worked at Australia Post in the 90's. Dad took us to the club, I had Nachos for dinner while Mum had Salmon Patties and Salad, went inside and use my mobile. The show started @ 7.30pm which they did 4 sets doing classic rock n roll stuff from the 50's and 60's by people like Elvis Presley,Buddy Holly, Johnny Cash, Creedence, Bobby Darin,Ricky Nelson, Cliff Richard and many others which in between there were money draws and also had conversations with Stephen. The show finished at 11.30pm which me and mum said goodbye to Stephen, Dad picked us up and came home. Unbroken

Last Friday January 16th I went to the Balmoral Cinema to see the movie Unbroken. Louie Zamperini(Jack O'Connell) an American athlete and Olympian who ran in the 1936 Olympics is serving in the American Air Force during the second world war and had been in an near fatal air plane crash which he is on an life raft for 47 days until he is captured by the Japanese navy and is sent to a Prisoner of War camp in Tokyo which it is headed by a Japanese corporal named Mutsuhiro"The Bird" Watanabe (Miyavi) and he treats Louie very cruelly as well as beating him often and who never gave up which gets interesting throughout the movie. Dumb and Dumber To

On Saturday January 10th I went to the Myer Centre Cinema with my friend Billy and to see the sequel to the 1994 movie Dumb and Dumber called Dumb and Dumber 2. Lloyd Christmas(Jim Carrey) had been committed to a mental institution since his romance with Mary Swanson was doomed and when Harry(Jeff Daniels) visited him he realized that he was tricked and was only committed as a joke. Harry tells Lloyd that he needs a new kidney and he discovers a postcard from his old girlfriend Fraida (Kathleen Turner) back in 1991 that she was having a baby which they see her and also discovered that she had a daughter who she gave up for adoption which they go to Maryland to find her and it gets interesting as twist and turns throughout the movie. Songs From the Big Chair is the second album by Legendary British rock group Tears For Fears which it was released on February 25th 1985 and it went to number 1 in the USA where it stayed for 5 weeks as well as number in Germany and Canada, number 2 in Holland, New Zealand and the UK which stayed in the top ten for 6 months as well in the top 40 over a year, number 5 in Switzerland, number 12 in France, number 17 in Norway, number 22 in Austria and number 25 in Sweden and from that album it had 4 hit singles-Mother's Talk, Shout, Everybody Wants To Rule The World and Head Over heels and it is out on CD which I am reviewing the double CD version as there is a 4 CD-2DVD set of the album as well. The Crystals Australian tour 2015

In July-August this year legendary American 60's girl group The Crystals known for the hits in the 60's like Da Do Ron Ron, Then He Kissed Me, He's A Rebel and many others will be touring Australia. The group are still touring with original member Dee Dee Kennibrew and will perform those songs at the show and on the bill with them on this tour are Dave Sommerville of the legendary 50's Canadian singing group the Diamonds known for hits like Little Darlin, The Stroll, You're The Limit, Why Do Fools Fall In Love etc, Australian singer Ray Burgess known for hits like Touch Me as well as appearing on shows like Countdown, The Don Lane Show, IMT, The Mike Walsh show and others as well as hosting the ABC show Flashez and the group All Stars are on the bill as well as they have performed with many acts like Gene Pitney,The Coasters, Bobby Rydell, Buddy Knox, Johnny Preston, Chan Romero and others as well as being great on their own as they do a great set of rock songs. Last Thursday January 1st I went to Southbank Cinema to see the movie the Water Diviner. It's 1919 and Farmer Joshua Connor(Russell Crowe) who had 3 sons who went missing during the first world war in Turkey who goes there to find what happened to them and it is there where he meets an lady named Ayshe(olga Kurylenko) the hotel owner which it's gets interesting. It is sad,touching, beautiful and an BRILLIANT movie with a BRILLIANT movie with an BRILLIANT performance by Russell Crowe who also directs the film as well as excellent acting by Olga Kurylenko, Jai Courtney,Jacqueline McKenzie, Cem Yilmaz, Yilmaz Erdogan, Ryan Corr,Daniel Wyllie and others. Troy Lum, Andrew Mason and Keith Rodger were the producers, David Hirschfelder(ex Little River Band/Dragon) did the music and Andrew Anastasios and Andrew Knight did the screenplay. Countdown Reloaded @ Easts Leagues Club New Years Eve

Last Wednesday December 31st I went to Easts Leagues Club to see the tribute show to legendary Australian music show Countdown called Countdown Reloaded which it was second time seeing this show as the first was at carina Leagues Club on Friday May 31st 2013. Dad took me to Easts Leagues Club, had Nachos for dinner, drank coke zero, had a chocolate diane cake for desert, saw my cousin Gary whom I had not seen since saturday February 15th 2014 which we spoke for a while and waited around with using mobile, did some writing and having a look at the broucher. Rush Hour started the show at 7.30pm which they did a set of a mixture of songs by people like Cindy Lauper, Alannah Miles and Fleetwood Mac which sounded great and there was an interval which I had a drink of Water as well as a Coke Zero and meeting Gaby,Lorraine and Graham which Gabby Took a photo of me with the balloon. Sum Of the Parts is the documentary about legendary British rock group Genesis which it's on DVD. On this documentary it talks about the formation in 1967 @ Chaterhouse where Tony Banks, Mike Rutherford and Peter Gabriel were students,began recording in the late 60's, the departure of original founding member Anthony Phillips in 1970, Phil Collins and steve Hackett joining in 1970, the great success in the early 70's with albums like Foxtrot and The Lamb Lies Down On Broadway as well as their stage act, the departures of peter Gabriel in 1975 and Steve Hackett in 1977, the trio line-up of Mike, Tony and Phil which they went on to move to shorter immediate songs and would achieve the great success in the 80's and 90's as well as their own projects with Mike doing the Mike and the Mechanics as well as Tony,Steve, Peter and Phil doing solo work which proved very successful with Peter and Phil, the reunion tour in 2007 and others.
