Dumb and Dumber To
On Saturday January 10th I went to the Myer Centre Cinema with my friend Billy and to see the sequel to the 1994 movie Dumb and Dumber called Dumb and Dumber 2. Lloyd Christmas(Jim Carrey) had been committed to a mental institution since his romance with Mary Swanson was doomed and when Harry(Jeff Daniels) visited him he realized that he was tricked and was only committed as a joke. Harry tells Lloyd that he needs a new kidney and he discovers a postcard from his old girlfriend Fraida (Kathleen Turner) back in 1991 that she was having a baby which they see her and also discovered that she had a daughter who she gave up for adoption which they go to Maryland to find her and it gets interesting as twist and turns throughout the movie. It is an very funny movie with excellent acting by Jim Carrey and Jeff Daniels as well as Kathleen Turner, Rachel Melvin(ex Chelsea on Days of Our Lives) who played the daughter Penny, Steve Tom who played Dr Pinchelow, Laurie Holden who played the Doctor Pinchelow's wife Adele and Rob Riggle who plays both Travis and Captain Lippincott. The Farrelly brothers Bobby and peter directed the movie as well as doing the screenplay with Sean Anders, John Morris, Bennett Yellin and Mike Cerrone and the producers were Charles B Wessler, Riza Aziz, Joey McFarland and Bradley Thomas. It's been 20 years since the first Dumb and Dumber which I remember seeing it with my class at the Carindale cinema on Thursday April 13th 1995 and seeing this sequel is just as good too. I give this 4 stars and it's currently running in the cinemas so do yourself a favour and see it.
