Zappa

This afternoon I went to the Dendy Cinema at Coorparoo to see the documentary Zappa  which it's about the American singer-songwriter and musician Frank Zappa and in this documentary  it has archival interviews with Frank Zappa as he talks about his life in California, getting his first record as an teenager, playing in an band called the Blackouts, having his own studio, forming the Mothers of Invention  and the success he had in the 60's and 70's as well as the person behind the persona  as well as being anti censorship and it has interviews with his first wife Gail, Bunk Gardner, Ian Underwood, Ruth Underwood, Steve Vai, Pamela Des Barres, Scott Thunes and many others. It's FANTASTIC, BRILLIANT and SUPERB with Brilliant stories and interviews and an great watch and an impressive one about an true legend of rock and roll. It's directed by Alex Winter  who also did the screenplay and executive producers Robert Halmi and Jim Reeve. It will be 28 years this December since Frank Zappa passed away but has left an lot of great music which  has stood the test of time  and  it will be around forever. This is an muist for Frank Zappa fans and I give it 5 stars as it's in selected cinemas now so do yourselves an favour and SEE IT which you will be amazed.
