Once Upon A Twilight
This was the pilot episode of what was going to be an TV series that starred Australian group the Twilights who were one of the top Australian groups at the time with an string of hits including Needle In A Haystack, What's Wrong With the Way I Live, Young Girl etc and launched the careers of Glenn Shorrock who would go on to great success with Axiom and Little River Band and Terry Britten who has gone on to great success as an songwriter. Inspired by the Monkees it was going to include zany youthful antics by the group along with the musical numbers and in the pilot episode it has Mary Hardy who played the secretary for the group, Madeline Orr who played the President of the Gumnut Gully Ladies Auxiliary whose son Alphonse (Ronnie Burns an big name of Australian music at the time ) is an upcoming pop singer and among the songs includes the Twilights Cathy Come Home and the Ronnie Burns In The Morning written by Barry Gibb of the Bee Gees. It's an FANTASTIC pilot episode with great humor and great music as well as great entertainment and it is great to see an part of Australian 60's footage is on DVD which is great to see as it is long overdue which I am glad that is out on DVD. Australian music historian Glenn A Baker does the liner notes and this is an must for Australian music fans of the 60's which I give it 4 stars as it's in the shops now so do yourselves an favour and BUY IT which you will be amazed and impressed.
