Stage Fright by the Band
In 1970 the Band released their 3rd album Stage Fright which went to number 5 in the USA , number 15 in the UK and number 2 in Australia and from that album it had the hit single Time To Kill which Todd Rundgren was the engineer as well as the group producing the album themselves and it was recorded at Woodstock Playhouse in Woodstock New York in May and June that year and also it has been reissued on CD again as well as on 180 gram black vinyl and an multi format Super Deluxe 2CD/Blu Ray/1 LP/7 inch vinyl box but the one I am reviewing is the double CD version. On the Double CD it has the tracks on the album as well as bonus tracks which has alternate mix of 2 songs as well as songs they did at the Calgary Room Hotel and the live concert at the Royal Albert Hall London in June 1971 which they performed tracks from the 3 albums as well as the Marvin Gaye song Don't Do It. It is FANTASTIC, BRILLIANT and SUPERB with FANTASTIC songs which has stood the test of time and they just sound as great today. Robbie Robertson does the liner notes as well as John Scheele and Norman Seeff and Charles Hannah who took the photos for the album. This is an must for fans of the Band and I am giving this 4 and half stars which it's in the shops now so do yourselves an favour and BUY IT which you will love it.
