This is the memoir of American TV director and son of American actor Leonard Nimoy known for the iconic role of Spock on the TV show Star Trek Adam Nimoy and in the book Adam talks about the his relationship with his father who had success with Star Trek and Mission Impossible, his marriages including Martha, working for EMI America, teaching acting classes, studying law, his relationship with his children, his issues with drugs, reconnecting with his father and many others. It is excellent, very impressive and very entertaining with amazing and great stories which it is well worth an read and it is 10 years since the passing of Leonard Nimoy but his work including Star Trek lives on forever as it is still watched after all these years. This is an must for Leonard Nimoy fans and I give it 4 stars as it's in the shops now so do yourselves an favour and BUY IT which you will be impressed and amazed.

This is the new book written by Australian music writer Bob Hayden and this one is about legendary American singer Connie Francis' vinyl discography in Australia from 1957-92 which has the Australian releases on MGM, GSF and United Artists, an brief introduction, Sheet Music and the Big Show Program as well as paper advertisments and movie posters and many others. It is AWESOME, BRILLIANT and SUPERB with AMAZING Stuff as well as great research by Bob Hayden who has done an FANTASTIC job doing it. Connie Francis' 1961 Australian tour with the Ventures, Bobby Vee, Donny Brooks, Johnny Burnette and Col Joye was her only Australian tour and doesn't perform anymore but the music she made still gets played to this day as well as should be considered for an Rock and Roll Hall Of Fame Induction which well long overdue. This is an must for Connie Francis fans and I give it 5 stars as you have to email Bob Hayden at elvis2594@gmail.com which you will be impressed and amazed.

In 1991 iconic American rock band Van Halen were doing the For the Unlawful Carnal Knowledge when on December 4th 1991 when the band performed in Dallas,Texas for an free show at the West End Market Place in front of 50,000 fans which was recorded and it was never released until now and on the CD that is out now it has songs they performed at that show including new songs they had at the time as well as songs from the albums 5150 and OU812 as well as the hit singles Panama and Top Of The World as well as 2 Sammy Hagar hits I Can't Drive and There's Only One Way To Rock as Sammy Hagar was in the band at the time. It is AWESOME, ROCKIN and BRILLIANT with FANTASTIC and ROCKIN songs which sounded great and it well worth listening to which the band were really at their game at that time. This is the compilation CD of Legendary British rock group Mike + The Mechanics and on this CD it has the hits Silent Running, All I Need Is A Miracle, The Living Years, Word of Mouth, Taken In and many others as well as tracks from the 7 of the 9 albums as the 1999 album Mike + the Mechanics aka M6 and the 2004 album Rewired are nor represented. This is from the Queensland Times Ipswich April 22nd 1963 and until 1992 when it became 4TAB as it now known as RAdio TAB 4IP would become of Brisbane's popualr radio stations which was originally based in Ipswich at the time in the 60's and among their disc jockeys was John Knox who would go on to work at Brisbane stations 4BK, 4BH and 4KQ had a show on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday called Radio Milk Bar which was on at 10.35am Monday, Tuesday at 2.55pm, Wednesday at 10.35am and Thursday at 2.55pm.

Warfare

This afternoon I went to South Bank Cinema to see the movie Warfare. It's November 2006 in Iraq which in the wake of the Battle of Ramadi an Platoon of American Navy SEALs Alpha One and Alpha Two are occupying an house with Communications Office Ray Mendoza(D'Paroah Woon A Tai) using air support to monitor their Position while Elliott Miller (Cosmo Jarvis)monitors an house across the street as they set up shop and there was an explosion which thwarts an evacuation which leaves 1 person dead and Sam (Joseph Quinn) and Elliott are injured and then it gets interesting. It is Gripping, Amazing and Impressive with excellent acting by D'Paroah Woon A Tai, Joseph Quinn, Cosmo Jarvis, Charles Melton, Will Poulter and Kit O'Connor and it is directed by Ray Mendoza and Alex Garland who also wrote and produced by Andrew Macdonald, Allon Reich, Matthew Penry Davey and Peter Rice. This is the new album by Music legend Elton John and Brandi Carlile and this was recorded in Los Angeles at Sunset Soundwhich the songs were written by Brandi, Elton, Bernie Taupin and Andrew Watt who also produced the album as well as among the musicians who played on the album including Chad Smith from the American rock band Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Josh Klinghoffer who also plays in Red Hot Chilli Peppers and Pino Palladino who played bass with the Who as well as Don Henley, Go West and John Mayer. It is FANTASTIC and BRILLIANT with FANTASTIC songs and great singing by Elton and Brandi which they did it so brilliantly and sounded great together. This afternoon I went to the Events Cinema Carindale to see the new Australian The Correspondent. It's December 2013 Australian journalist Peter Greste (Richard Roxbourgh) is called to go over to Cairo for 3 weeks to cover the news desk gets arrested for spreading false news as well as terrorism and aiding the Muslim Brotherhood along with 2 other guys Mohamad Fahmy(Julian Maroun) and Baher Mohamed (Rahel Romahn). They are taken to prison and Peter was refused bail as well as was found guilty which he would serve 7 years and then it gets interesting. It is gripping, Amazing, Brilliant and Superb with top and Brilliant acting by Richard Roxburgh, Julian Maroun, Rahel Romahn, John Bell and Yael Stone. Yesterday afternon I went to see legendary Australian singer Wendy Matthews at the Royal Hotel Nundah which it was my 4th time seeing her live and I caught the train from Central to Nundah which I then walked up the road to the hotel which it was first time I visited the hotel. The show had already started when I arrived with support act Beth Lucas an local country singer-songwriter was doing her set which she did an excellent set and sounded great. There was an short interval which I used my mobile and then at 2.40pm Wendy Matthews came out which for the next hour and 20 minutes performed her hits from the 90's as well as some covers as well as telling some stories which before she did the song Little Boy she told an story abut her dog that she had for years as well as being sold out which the crowds sang along and enjoying themselves. I went to Cineplex Cinema South Bank this afternoon to see the movie Dog Man. In Ohkay City Officer Knight with his dog Greg(Peter Hastings) are chasing an villianeous cat named Pete(Pete Davidson) and they see an bomb which they tried to diffuse it but touches the wrong one which it explodes and also are taken to hospital which 2 female sugerons save Greg and Knight by stitching Greg's head to Knight's body which he becomes Dog Man who becomes the hero. Pete plots to get rid of Dog Man as well as plans to clone himself to assist him but instead an copy of himself as an child who does not want to do bad things which he's called Li'l Pete who gets friendly with Dog Man and Flippy (Ricky Gervais ) is resurrected after being mishandled by the Living Spray Factory which causes the building to come to life as well as other buildings and he is programmed by Pete to destroy do gooders which gets interesting. On May 29th 1984 American singer Tina Turner released her 5th solo album Private Dancer which was her first with Capitol Records which went to number 3 in the USA pop charts, number 1 in the USA R&B charts, number 2 in the UK and number 7 in Australia and from the album had the singles What's Love Got To Do With It, Let's Stay Together, Help, Better Be Good To Me, Private Dancer, I Can't Stand The Rain and Show Some Respect which it now out again as it is the 40th anniversary edition which I am reviewing the double CD ecition. This morning I saw on Facebook an posting from Len Austin who was from the Brisbane groups Red Caps, The Dominoes, The Planets and the Sounds of Seven that Brian Gagen who played with Len in the Planets passed away yesterday which I shocked to see that. Brian Gagen was born March 7th 1942, started learning to play saxophone at age 6, played in the Rhythm Rockers which was formed in about 1956 with Nev Findlay, Lyle Glenn, Kevin Dent and His brother as they played at the Osborne Hotel in Sandgate and Brian was with the Rhythm Rockers until the winter of 1958 when he joined an rock group called the Hucklebucks who were formed the year before which had Alan Reid, Johnny Pal(Pickering), Rob Richards(Bobby Rich) and John Reid which the 4 of them including Brian were with the Hucklebucks until they left Easter 1959. Brian, Robb, Johnny, John and Rob Tonge formed the Planets which they played their very first show at the Nundah Memorial Hall Friday May 22nd 1959 and it was the start of...
