Yoko by David Sheff

This is the biography of Japanese artist, singer, songwriter and peace activist Yoko Ono written by David Sheff and in this book talks about Yoko's upbringing in Japan, lived in New York for a time, did piano lessons at age 3, studied at Gakushuin University, moved to New York, studied at Sarah Lawrence College where she was introduced to avant garde, music and art, her first marriage to Toshi Ichiyanagi which lasted 6 years, her second marriage to Tony Cox which they had a daughter Koyoko, meeting John Lennon in November 1966, their early together including Two Virgins, her divorce from Tony Cox, Her marriage to John Lennon that would last 11 years as they would have a son Sean, the Bed Ins, forming the Plastic Ono Band which they would have great success, moving to New York, the tempoary seperation, John's tragic death in 1980, reconnected with her daughter and many others. IT is AWESOME, AMAZING, BRILLIANT and SUPERB with AMAZING and BRILLIANT stories which it is well worth an read and to understand about Yoko. David Sheff is an writer who wrote the book Beautiful Boy which was an movie in 2018 and has appeared in Rolling Stone, New York Times and many others and has known Yoko since the 80's which he did an FANTASTIC job on the book. This is an must for Beatles and John Lennon fans which I give it 5 stars and it's in the shops now so do yourselves an favour and BUY IT which you will be impressed and amazed.
