A Look at the 2000's 2000-2005

it's hard to believe that tomorrow will be the last day of 2009 but also it's the end of the 2000's and it's hard to believe we have gone through this decade very quickly I mean pickle me grandmother that it seems like yesterday that we were @ the end of the 90's but the 20th century. When i think about this decade from my own experiences has been an very good and wonderful decade for me as a lot of great things happend but as well as sad ones and I hope that the 2010's will be as good as the 2000's. I would like to chose some highlights of this decade for me-
2000- first anniversary @ St Andrews War memorial Hospital, went to 7 concerts -Willie Nelson & Ultimate Rock Symphony @ Brisbane Entertainment Centre, The Manfreds @ Wynnum manly Leagues Club, Eric Burdon & the New Animals,Eric Haydock's Hollies, Hermans Hermits and Cotton Keays & Morris @ Kedron-Wavell, was at crossroads in youth, GIG and joined Tuesday Options on Tuesday september 19th 2000 which i met adrian Lang and as well as during that year met rachel risson(now rossow), brett hoy, Desley hearn, greg Daly,Julie mansfield,Anna Walsh and Lucille Jolly among others. was @ cannon Hill presbyterian Church and Evlyn Sanderson passed away in June. Started doing ten pin bowling on regular basis with steven peters on monday April 10th 2000. mum finished work @ australia Post after 17 years on Friday june 30th. Made last visit to Frank & Christine Head's place on saturday june 3rd 2000
2001 went to 4 concerts and 2 musicals-the searchers @ Kedron-wavell 16/3/2001, Bob Dylan @ Brisbane Entertainmnet center 30/3/, normie Rowe and Dennis Knight Hotel Carindale june 8th 2001 and Judith durham @ QPAC concert Hall Monday September 3rd 2001 and 2 musicals- buddy the musical Saturday March 3rd 2001 and shout the musical Wednesday august 29th 2001. Still @ Cannon Hill Prebyterian church until sunday november 18th 2001 when the church closed after 71 years and the following week went to Creek Road church which was at PCYC at that stage. Still doing Monday ten pin bowling and crossroads doing youth,GIG & Tuesday Options which i met jeff rossow,MArk Tye,Christie Conlan,brooke preston etc.
2002- went to 9 concerts-reelin & Rockin ,the Atlantics,Max Merritt & Doug PArkinson and Legends Of 60's rock @ Kedron-Wavell, Gene Pitney and Art garfunkel @ twin towns, Ross Wilson @ Hotel Carindale and the Long way to the Top Concert & brian WIlson @ Brisbane Entertainment center. Nannie passed away in may. Still @ Creek Road church which we were @ PCYC until June when we moved to the church building on creekroad and fursden road. heath turned 21. Still @ crossroads GIG which i met Pip maclurkin, Youth and Tuesday Options which i met tracey Knight,Lisa Hennessey,Lisa Bigall,Laura Martinez,Claire connolly etc. Attended Rachel risson's 21st on April 1st, Her engagement on October 26th and her wedding on Saturday december 28th and had an wonderful time at those 3 events. Still did Monday Ten pin bowling with Steven Peters
2003- Mum had an heart scare but had to have a stint, Uncle Eric passed away in may, still @ Creek Road church, did monday bowling until march and on the 29th joined harmony league which i scored 161,147 and 134 which i won the first two games but the last. heath had an scare which he had an viral infection in his chest. still @ Crossroads Youth,Tuesday Options And GIG which i met Oriel Dodge on friday august 1st as well as meeting that year Lawrence,sonia and nicola Lewis. went to concerts which among them were the Rolling stones,ross wilson,hermans hermits,mental as anything and peter cupples,swanee,brian cadd and russell morris. first attended Wintersun on june 7th until the 9th which that weekend saw Reelin & Rockin, Tony Worsley, Digger Revell and Lonnie Lee. the mail room moved to B7 @ PAtient Accounts under Lyn greener.
2004- Joined Lifestream on March 14th, Finished crossroads youth February 28th, still doing Harmony league, still @ Creek Road church which during the year my friend Anne White(Billy's Mum) leaves due to personal issues, went to Permament Part time @ StA ndrews in April, mum's family friend dawn turner died, Madonna became pregnant, Went to see Chain,Fleetwood mac, Johnny young & normie Rowe, Glenn Shorrock, Mental As anything,Col joye & judyS tone,Lucky Starr, Russell morris, Brian Cadd,the eagles and the good Rockin Daddies which was on new years Eve @ Wynnum manly Leagues Club. Made last appearences with Crossroads which was Tuesday Options on december 7th and GIG on November 26th which was at south Bank. celebrated 5 years @ St Andrews War memorial Hospital. Went to Wintersun- Elvis to the Max, Johnny Devlin/dave bridge/Ray hoff/ray burton/, Tony Worsley, Digger Revell and Alan Dale. Aunty Roma and Uncle John came to brisbane in September
2005- quit Crossroads in february due to changes, but rejoined on August 23rd to ICAN, Still @ lifestream, Still @ Creek Road church untilS eptember when i joined Norman park church and still there today. Madonna gave birth to a son Tumoana on April 26th, had Buranda Special School on November 5th @ buranda Bowls Club which it was an FANATSIC night, shows i saw-neil diamond,the searchers, max Merritt & dinah Lee, Hermans Hermits, TonY Worsley, Ross Wilson & cotton keays and Morris, went to Lisa hennesy's 21st birthday party, saw rockin bodgies @ Carina Leagues club new years eve. madonna & tumoana stayed for a few months as madonna had to come back to work. formed friendship group @ Anita's Place. Steven peters quits Harmony League in December. Visit my great aunty Agnes and 2nd cousin Stephanie in March @ Stephanie's place in toowong. Wintersun-Dean Vegas, Chan Romero,Normie Rowe,the drifters,Jade Hurley,Issi Dye, The Atlantics, Lonnie Lee, Vicki Forrest, Brandi & the Badcats, Digger revell, Lonesome Train and Col joye & little Pattie. Met Harold Frith(the thunderbirds), Terry hearne(the Allusions) & Leon isackson(Dig Richards & The R'jays). Breakfast with thw stars @ coolangatta Bowls Club with Johnny rebb,Vicki Forrest and catfish Purser(Johnny O'Keefe and the Dee Jays)
