the remastered albums of Elvis Presley's first 2 album that he released back in 1956 is out on CD as an double CD. Elvis presley had been recording since 1954 for Sun Records which he released singles like That's Alright mama, I Forgot to Forget to remember, mystery Train, Good Rockin TOnight, , Baby Let's Play house and others and on November 21st 1955 RCA acquired Elvis's Sun contract for $40,000 which was a lot of money back in those days. Elvis ' first recording session with RCA began in nashville on January 10th and 11th 1956 where he would record the song that would launch him on the national and international scene "Heartbreak Hotel" written by Mae Axton as well as the songs that would appear on his very first album and on January 30th and 31st recorded the other songs in New York where he had been doing an appearance on Stage Show hosted by the Dorsey Brothers. the self titled album that also includes 5 of the sun recordings was released on March 23rd 1956 which went to no 1 in the USA on may 5th where it stayed there for 10 weeks and UK on November 10th which it was released as ROCK'n'Roll where it stayed for 1 week and also was also the first rock'n'roll album to hit the number 1 ever as well as the first million selling album. The second album "Elvis" was recorded at Radio Recorders in Hollywood on September 1st,2nd and 3rd 1956 which 11 tracks were there but 1 was an leftover from the january 30th session in New york which So Glad You're Mine and it was released on october 19th 1956 which went to no 1 in the USA on December 8th where it stayed there for 5 weeks and it was number 3 in the UK . by the end of that year Elvis would become the biggest thing in music making appearences on TV like Ed Sullivan, the Steve Allen Show, Stage Door, the Milton Berle Show, live apprearences and doing the movie Love Me Tender and those recordings were to change popular music forever as well as making Elvis the first rock'n'roll icon. these albums are just great,AWESOME and BRILLIANT with all the great songs with the different styles on those 2 albums from rockabilly, country, pop, R&B, ballads, blues and others and of course the hits singles are on the albums as the bonus tracks inlcuding Heartbreak hotel, Hound Dog,Dont Be Cruel, I want You I Need I Love you, love Me Tender, too Much and others and also the songs on the albums like Blue Suede Shoes, I got A Woman, Money honey, Rip it Up, Long Tall Sally, Ready Teddy, Old Shep which was the first song he ever performed at the age of 10 at a fair in Tupelo Mississippi where he won 2nd prize, and others. It's been 55 years since Elvis came on the scene as well as these albums coming out and it's still sounds great and holds up very well after all these years which gets better and better as well. it's an must for any Elvis Presley fan and I give 5 stars. it's out in the shops now if you want to get it
