Thin Lizzy The Boys Are Back In Town by Scott Gorham and Harry Doherty
Thin Lizzy The Boys Are Back In Town is the biography about the legendary Irish rock group Thin Lizzy and is written by member Scott Gorham and rock journalist Harry Doherty who toured with the band had interviewed them an lot from the early days. In this book talks about the beginning in Dublin in 1969, playing around Dublin, began recording For Decca in 1970 which they did'nt have success until 1973 when they had the hit with Whiskey In the Jar and from then on they went on to have great success with hit singles like the Boys Are Back In TOwn, Waiting for an Alibi, Killer on the Loose, Do Anything You Want etc as well as successful albums like Jailbreak, Live and Dangerous, Chinatown,Bad Reputation etc, the line up changes, label switches, touring the world, living the lifestyle of sex, drink & drugs, the tragic loss of Phil Lynott in 1986 and many others. It is an AWESOME and an BRILLIANT book with great stories from the band members, management, road crew and friends and I really enjoyed reading this book which took just 1 day. The group are still touring with original member Brian Downey and long time member Scott Gorham who has been with the group since 1974 which they toured Australia in March this year with Kiss and Motley Crue and it has been 27 years since the sad loss of Phil Lynott but the music still lives on and endures. This book is an must for any 70's rock fans as well as Thin Lizzy fans and I am giving this book 5 stars which it's in the shows now.
