Lucky Man Greg Lake

Lucky Man is the autobiography of the late British musician as well as founding member of both King Crimson and Emerson Lake and Palmer Greg Lake who passed away on December 7th last year from cancer. In this book he talks about his upbringing in Poole England, getting his first guitar at age 12, wrote his first song, getting guitar lessons from Don Strike, played in bands Unit 4, Timechecks, Shy Limb, The Shame and the Gods, formed King Crimson with Robert Fripp in 1968 which they released 2 albums and toured America, formed Emerson Lake and Palmer in 1970 with Keith Emerson and Carl Palmer which they achieved great success with successful albums like the self titled album, Tarkus, Pictures at an Exhibition, Works Vol 1 and 2 etc and it lasted until 1978, working with Ringo Starr, Cozy Powell and many others. It's an FANTASTIC, BRILLIANT and an SUPERB book with AWESOME stories as well as an BRILLIANT and touching epilogue done by Stewart Young who managed ELP. it's been 7 months since Greg Lake passed away which the music he made with King Crimson, ELP and others will live on forever and I enjoyed reading it which I was very impressed. It's sad that Greg is not alive to see the book released but it's here which I'm sure you will enjoy reading it. This is an must for progressive rock music of the 70's as well as fans of ELP and I give it 5 stars which it's in the shops now.
