Olivia Newton John in the Brisbane charts
With the Recent passing of Legendary Australian singer Olivia Newton John just last week I would like to mention that here in Brisbane that Olivia had 30 hits in the Brisbane charts fromm 1971 until 1998 which including 5 number one hits and the last hit was Grease Remix with John Travolta on EP which went to number 27 in Brisbane but the last actual hit she recorded was No Matter What You Do from the album Gaia which she wrote the song herself going to number 28 in Brisbane. As everyone knows that most of her hits written by Australians as well as members of the Shadows and produced by Australians including John Farrar from the Strangers and the Shadows as well as Bruce Welch who produced the early ones. The 5 number ones that Olivia Newton John had in Brisbane were-
1. Banks Of The Ohio produced by Bruce Welch and John Farrar number 1 for 3 weeks November 5th 1971
2. I Love You I Honestly Love You produced by John Farrar and written by Peter Allen and Jeff Barry number 1 for 7 weeks November 15th 1974
3. If You Love Me(Let Me Know) produced by John Farrar and written by John Rostill(The Shadows) number 1 for 1 week April 11th 1975
