I'll Be There My Life With The Four Tops by Duke Fakir

This is the autobiography of the founding member of the legendary Motown group the Four Tops Duke Fakir and in this book he talks about his upbringing in Detriot, his parents divorce when he was 7, started singing in the choir, formed the group the Four Tops with Levi Stubbs, Obie Benson and Lawrence Payton, playing in the Nightclubs as well as playing in clubs and venues in the Chitlin Circuit, signed up with Motown which they would achieve great success with hits including Baby I Need Your Lovin, I Can't Help Myself, Same Old Song, Reach Out I'll Be There and many others, working with Berry Gordy, Holland Dozier Holland, Billy Eckstein, James Brown, his 2 marriages, the passing of his Four Tops bandmates Lawrence Payton in 1997, Obie Benson in 2005 and Levi Stubbs in 2008 and many others. It is FANTASTIC, BRILLIANT and SUPERB with AWESOME, very Impressive and very entertaining stories and an FANTASTIC book to read which it's well worth to learn about life in Detriot, the formation of the iconic Motown groups and the great success they achieved as well as the ups and own. Duke Fakir is still in the group today as he is the only surviving original founding member which in the current line it has Lawrence Payton Jr son of Lawrence Sr and they are currently doing shows in the USA and will touring the UK, Germany and Holland from late September until October. This is an must for Motown fans and 60's music fans which I give it 5 stars as it's in the shops now so do yourselves an favour and BUY IT which you will be impressed and amazed.
