Allelujah
On Friday I went to the Events Cinema Carindale to see the movie Allelujah. Alma Gilpin(Jennifer Saunders) who is working for the Bethlehem Hospital aka The Beth in Wakefield West Yorkshire is being threatened with closure due to funding cut and an television crew from an Show Called Pennine People come to the Beth to film an volunteer led effort to save it from closure as well as interviewing the Chairman of the Board as well as some of the residents including Ambrose (Derek Jacobi) and Marry Moss(Judi Dench) who wasn't involved in the interview is give an IPad by Dr Valentine (Bally Gill) who encourages her to film her day to day experiences and at the same time Colin Colman (Russell Tovey) who works for the Health Secretary visits his father Joe(David Bradley) as well as assess the hospital. When one of the Patients named Molly (Eileen Davies) is found dead the Beth is threatened with an lawsuit and then it gets interesting. It is excellent , very funny and very entertaining with excellent acting by Jennifer Saunders, Derek Jacobi, Judi Dench, Bally Gill. Russell Tovey, David Bradley and Eillen Davies and It's directed by Richard Eyre and produced by Damian Jones and Kevin Loader. I am giving it 4 stars as it's in the cinemas now so do yourselves an favour and SEE IT which you will be impressed and amazed.
