the Motown Concert
On tuesday february 23rd I along with tara Marshall an nurse I work with @ St ANdrews War memorial Hospital, Peter White and his parents Robyn and Barry, Francis Roiter with his mum Shirley, Pip MacLurkin with her dad Tom and Leisa Keast with her mum Chris and another lady and it was an awesome & FANTASTIC show. I have been an fan of Motown since 1996 and it's an been an dream of mine to go and see some of the Motown acts which i saw the news last year that the motown show was coming to Brisbane I knew I had to go and see it particuarly seeing the Temptations, Four tops, the Miracles, Martha Reeves and Mary Wilson as well as Jimmy barnes and Ian Moss. Peter's parents bought our tickets which they paid it for group bookings and tara asked me if she would like to come with me to the motown show which luckily they had an spear ticket. on the night tara and i had dinner in the valley and stop @ maccas for desert and got to the entertainment centre with about half hour to spear. the show was just Awesome and it was amazing to see all that talent as well as Joan osborne (one Of us) who sang very well as well as the back up vocals which included Mahilia barnes(jimmy's daughter) and the back up band were very good. the compere Charles Davis who sings in the Contours who did the original version of Do you love me in 1962 was very good hosting the show and it's something that i will never forget. it's great to see all these people still doing what they love after all these years and amazing to see the music these people more than 45 years ago as well as Motown music still endures.
