Beneath Hill 60
Yesterday went to the South bank Cinema to see the Australian movie Beneath Hill 60. It's 1916 and captain Oliver Woodward (brendan Cowell) who had never faced hostile fire and under trained finds himself on the Western front. Marjorie Waddell his fiance(Bella Heathcoe) pleads with him not to go to enlist as she has just discovered love and couuld'nt believe it could be taken from her. Woodward leads an team of tunnelers admist the blood and carnage on the western front in Armerites,France which the Australian tunnlers are suspicous of Woodward as well as there is resentment from the british. Woodward eveentually wins the respect of his men and the infantry. Woodward and the team are transferred to belgium which they go to HIll 60 and their task is to defend the labyrinthe and leaking tunnel system that snakes between the enemy lines and must protect the tunnel system until woodward recives the order to blow it up and eventually to the experience that would change the war. It's an execellent movie and an execellent story to remind about how these guys sarifice their lives for their country. the casta re execellent Brendan Cowell, bElla Hethcoe, Jacqueline Mckenzie, John Stanton,Gyton Grantley,aden young, anthony hayes,steve le marquand and others. it's directed by jeremy Hartley sims as well being one of the producers. it's an must for anyone who wants to see an execellent australian movie. I give it 4 and a half stars
