Every Night's A Saturday Night is the autobiography of legendary American sax player Bobby Keys which was released in the USA last year but was just released in Australia recently. In this book Bobby talks about his upbringing in Slaton,Texas which it's 15 miles south east of Lubbock (where legendary rocker Buddy Holly) as he was raised by his grandparents, first heard Buddy Holly playing at a grand opening of a gas station at the age of 12 which he got to hang around with Buddy and the Crickets, took up the saxophone as it was the only instrument left in the school band, toured with acts like Buddy Knox(Party Doll), Bobby Vee and other acts on the Dick Clark Caravan of Stars tour, worked with George Harrison,Joe Cocker, John Lennon, Harry Nilsson, first recorded with the Rolling Stones in 1969 when he played on a track called Live With Me which he joined them in 1970 when they went on tour and also played on 7 of their albums including Sticky Fingers,Exile On Main Street as he was with them until 1973 and return to them since 1981 which he is still with them to this day, problems with drugs and many others. it's an excellent and an BRILLIANT book with great stories and it was co written with Bill Ditenhafer an former editor of Nashville Lifestyles magazine and has worked as a features writer, arts writer, critic and editor at weekly newspapers. Keith Richards does the foreword and has interviews with people like Joe Cocker and session drummer Jim Keltner. This book is an must for any rock music fan as well as Rolling Stones fans which I give this 4 and a half stars and it's in the shops now.
