Jim Hansen and the Sonics(Cliff and the Shadows) show @ Twin Towns June 3rd 2014

On Tuesday June 3rd I attended my first Cooly Rocks On gig for 2014 which was seeing the Cliff and the Shadows tribute show (Jim Hansen and the Sonics) at Twin Towns and it was my second time seeing them this year as I only saw them a month @ the Riverside Ballroom on May 18th when they had singer Johnny Gray with them. The show started @ 11am with the guys wearing matching grey suits and bow ties and for the next 1 hour and 40 minutes they did an set that had many of the Shadows classic songs as well as the Cliff Richard early stuff sang by Jim Hansen as well as Florrie joining them on stage playing the piano for certain songs like Wonderful Land as well as wearing hats when they did Guitar Tango and besides from the Shadows stuff they also did the Ventures, the Atlantics,Duane Eddy and the Tornadoes. The show finished @ about 12.40pm which I then went to the bistro where I had a chicken Pamerigiana, chips and salad for lunch, went to the Internet Place, bought postcard from newsagent and walk back to Bella Mare. It was an AWESOME show which everyone enjoyed it including myself and great playing by Rod,Bob,Gary and Robin as well as Florrie who did great piano playing with great singing by Jim who does the Cliff Richard songs so well as well as some excellent humor and I got to see them again the next night @ the Marquee. set List- Dance On Flingel Blunt Foot Tapper Wonderful Land Theme For Young Lovers Geronimo Atlantis The Savage Move It Please Don't Tease The Young Ones Summer Holiday Constantly On The Beach When The Girl In Your Arms Is the Girl In Your Heart Do You Wanna Dance Shadoogie Guitar Tango Walk Don't Run/Hawaii Five O Telstar Duane Eddy medley Bombora Apache Angel With A Girl Like You Travellin Light Living Doll Lucky Lips The Twelfth Of Never Congratulations We Say Yeah
