Eurogliders @ Kedron Wavell

On Saturday July 26th I went to Kedron Wavell to see legendary Australian 80's group the Eurogliders which has Grace Knight and Bernie Lynch and it was my second time seeing them as my first was at the Countdown Spectacular show @ Brisbane Entertainment Centre on Saturday September 16th 2006. I caught two buses from Carindale as I was visiting my cousin that afternoon as it was my second cousin's birthday and had Pizza for dinner there and when I arrived @ Kedron Wavell Dad rang as well as buying ticket to see Brian Cadd and also went inside which i did some writing. The show started @ 8.30pm with the group coming on stage which was covered by flowers and for the next 1 hour and 40 minutes the group performed their classic hits from the 80's like Heaven, Groove, We Will Together as well as some new songs as well as telling stories as well as some humor and also towards the end of the show Grace jokingly said that she was angry that people were taking photos with her make up on. The show finished before 10.10pm with Heaven again which the others musicians walk through the audience while the audience sang the song and after the show Grace and Bernie came out to sell their new CD as there was only 30 left so I bought mine which they signed it and I got a photo with them and also caught a cab home. It was a FANTASTIC show which everyone had a great time including myself as well as everyone singing along to the songs and Grace sounded great as well as the group sounded and played great too and also to those who have not seen them go and see them which you will enjoy it as well as bringing back memories for those who grew up in the 80's in the era of Countdown as well as for those who have just discovered the music of the 80's you will enjoy the experience by seeing an true legendary Australian group. Vale Peter Flanagan(the Fauns/The Flanagans)

Peter Flanagan member of legendary Australian singing family group the Fauns aka the The Flanagans passed away on September 2nd aged 73 at the Royal North Shore Hospital in Sydney. Peter along with brother Paul and Sister Margaret began as the Fauns in 1959 as they had been doing classical music training which they released 3 singles on the Leedon label- Dance With Me/Don't Take the Stars, We Should Be Together/While Susan Sleeps and Nursery Rhymes Rock and as the Flanagans they released 4 singles on the HMV label-He/Wonderland Of Love and Dreams(1965), Follow the Wind/Land OF Beyond(1965), You Were Meant FOr Me/That's How Man Began(1966) and This is My Song/For Bobby(1967). the group did appearances on Bandstand,Six O'Clock Rock, Teen Time, The Johnny O'Keefe Show, Sing Sing Sing, the Mike Walsh Show, IMT, Revue 61, Revue 62 and many others as well as performing on the Matt Munro TV special in 1966 as well as performing in the clubs too as well as co writing the song...

This is the book about 2 iconic Australian music shows that were on Channel 0 (now Channel 10)back in the 60's The Go Show on August 4th 1964 which lasted for 3 years and 222 episodes until September 17th 1967 and Kommotion hosted by Ken Sparkes was on from December 13th 1965 until September 28th 1967 after 356 episodes and in the book it has the info about both shows as well as episode guides as well the discography of both the Go label and the Kommotion label and the people who worked on Kommotion including Denise Drysdale and Molly Meldrum and many others including some memorabilla and photos of the artists. It is AWESOME, BRILLIANT and SUPERB with FANTASTIC and AWESOME stuff and amazing information about the Go Show which just celebrated 60 years an month ago and Kommotion as well as very impressive and very entertaining which it is well worth an read.
