The Time Of My Life Bill Medley

The Time of My Life is the autobiography of legendary American singer Bill Medley. In this book he talks about his upbringing in Orange County in California, began performing in a group called the Romancers then become The Paramours, met Bobby Hatfield which they would form the successful duo the Righteous Brothers, had their first single called Little Latin Lupe Lu which was a minor hit and so was My Babe, then their career really took in late 1964 with the song You've Lost That Lovin Feelin which became a number 1 hit as well as having others hits including Unchained Melody, (You're My) Soul and Inspiration,Rock n Roll Heaven and others, working with people The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, Phil Spector, Elvis Presley, Jack benny, Ray Charles and many others, his loving but yet complicated relationship with Bobby Hatfield which sadly ended with Bobby's passing on November 5th 2003, the murder of his first wife Karen, going through depression over losing his voice and how he got it back, working with Jennifer Warnes on the single (I've Had) the Time Of MY Life for the movie Dirty Dancing, learning how to settle down to be a family man, enjoying his second marriage to Pauline and many others. It is an excellent and an BRILLIANT book with great stories and I enjoyed it very much. this book was co written with Mike Marino who is a author, speaker and a musician which he had been in a number of groups including the McCoys well known for their number 1 hit Hang On Sloopy and Billy Joel did the foreword. It is 50 years since You've Lost that Lovin Feelin was released which it's still gets play to this day and it is one of the great songs of all time and it is 11 years since Bobby Hatfield's passing but Bill Medley is still touring and still recording. This book is a must for any 60's music fans and I am giving this 4 and a half stars which it's in the shops now so do yourself a favour and BUY IT.
