A Star Is Born

On Wednesday night I went to the Balmoral Cinema with the staff from my work St Andrews War Memorial Hospital to see the movie A Star Is Born for the MS charity and we had an cheese and Wine but I had an coke zero and water to drink. This version of A Star Is Born is the 4th version as Janet Gaynor did the original in 1937, Judy Garland and James Mason in 1954 and Barbara Streisand and Kris Kristofferson in 1976. Jackson Maine(Bradley Cooper)an famous country singer is performing in California and stops at an gay bar where he meets Ally(Lady Gaga) who is an singer-songwriter as well as an waitress and Jackson is impressed by her talent which he invites her to his next show which she initially refuses but with Jackson's encouragement she goes on the stage to sing and goes on tour with him as well as having an relationship with him. Ally is offered an recording contract by manager Rez (Rafi Gavron) and she becomes an success with pop hits which Jackson who is battling problems with alcohol and drugs disapproves of her new image and music. It's Fantastic, Brilliant and Superb with Superb, Brilliant and Top acting by Bradley Cooper who also directed , produced it and did the screenplay as well, Lady Gaga, Sam Elliot as Jackson's brother and manager Bobby, Rafi Gavron, Dave Chappelle as Noodles(Jackson's friend) and Andrew Dice Clay as Ally's father Lorenzo. The music was AWESOME with Bradley Cooper did an great job with the singing and Lady Gaga is just an AMAZING singer which she just sang Brilliantly which it's great to see her without the make up and just being herself. This version is just an great as the other version as it's in this era comparison to 1937,1954 and 1976 as it's the similar story about what success can do to people and how they deal with it. I give it 5 stars as it's in the cinemas now as it was released on Thursday so do yourselves an favour and SEE IT which you will love it.
